What ?. Brexsit at work. Very excellent move.
Cayman islands is under UK

They take all those illegal money and loan legal businesses in UK

UK is the financial services capital of the world

This move by Union Bank has nothing to do with brexit, cause they weren't generating sufficient revenue.

Very dumb move.

They are in an economic slump and about to leave the largest trading bloc in human history.

Other banks are moving their European HQs from London to Frankfurt and Paris.

The only bank in the 80's with powerful advert on TV then.

Union Bank: Big, Strong and Reliable

They are no where to be found today with poor customer service and old faces @the counter.

I have never seen any beautiful customer service rep (Lady or Man) @Union Bank till date.

You are very wrong. Step into one of the branches today and you'll be wowed. I am talking from a place of experience.

They always tag the bank as old peoples bank.

One of the customers service reps at Union bank was surprised as how i was able to set the ussd code for banking on my brother's phone... The woman was like wow... How did you do it? Mehn, i felt embarrassed at the old.woman oo... Just ordinary ussd code banking

Once these banks start selling their UK subsidiary, they are getting ready to be bought over by another bank. Is that not what happened with Diamond Bank? Very soon, Access bank will buy up all the banks in Nigeria and Nigerians will only have one or two banks to service their banking needs. And that will be quite unfortunate.

Their UK business like other Nigerian banks with UK subsidiaries have no licence for retail banking. So it limits their business hugely

Imagine you need 5,000 pounds to open an account with most Nigerian banks in UK.

Whereas you can open an account with just 10 pounds or less with some of the world's biggest banks like HSBC, City Bank, Barclay's and Lloyd's in UK.

The change is real.. maybe you don't believe it but I do .
No more excess money from states multiple accounts for Nigerian bank executives to play with.

No more multiple offshore accounts from corrupt government officials.
Before Buhari we thought banks opening branches across West Africa n UK was a sign of progress but last las we realize that it was all audio. Na our money dey sustain those branches.

Welcome Union Bank...at least make your ATM machines work better.
