Efcc: Waziri Attempted To Assist Ibori Beat Charges . by Gbawe: 2:46pm On Dec 10, 2010 |
We all know Waziri openly aids and abet corruption but we can now see incontrovertible proof that means she deserved to be sacked straightaway. I wonder what GEJ will do now . Perhaps he will wait for the International wikileaks expose on this before he will act. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/ibrahim-lamorde-returns-efcc-director-operations-secret-letter-written-waziri-support-ibor The new appointment is coming on the heels of a fresh revelation by SaharaReporters today of a secret document signed for James Ibori by Mrs. Waziri in 2008, aimed at bolstering the defence of the former governor of Delta State against charges of corruption in the United Kingdom. |

WOW!! If this is true, then I bow for naija politicians. they are all actors on stage, not one of them can be vouched for. |

NIKKnJAZZ: No reason for this revelation to be a lie. It is an open secret that Ibori , as a good "pal" of Yar Adua, heavily influenced the appointment of Aondoakaa . Aondoakaa mission was simple. Get all charges against Ibori dismissed. Ribadu , at the time, still stood in the way of that task been achieved easily . This is why the first thing Aondoakaa did was to attempt to make the Ribadu-led EFCC to fall under the office of the AGF through a directive from the office of the Presidency. In the end when Nigerians protested Yar Adua capitulated and the plot changed to the outright removal of Ribadu for someone more 'amiable' . Step forward Farida Waziri. Nigeria is a macabre ode to the unchecked proliferation of corruption and how it can grow to influence virtually everything negatively. Jonathan retaining Waziri for so long speaks volume of this current Government tacit tolerance of corruption. |

The whole system is so damn foul. Farida must be sacked, ibori must be jailed |

Of course she did. The reason he could not be arrested in Nigeria and was given a soft-landing passage in Dubai to shift the cross from her neck. Whor.e! Then OBJ through Yaradua and Jonathan sold them all to make room for less challenging crooks. Rotten pigs! |

I hope this is not a scheme towards the next episode of fighting corruption only on the eve of elections. Let us have a free and fair election, if the Nigerian people choose a devil or a demon to be their President so be it. The system is bound to self-correct if we enthrone true democracy where votes actually counts. What I don't want is people going to re-hire Ibrahim Lamorde because election is around the corner. Let Jonathan wait, if he gets the people's mandate to lead then he can appoint Lamorde EFCC Chairman if he so pleases. There is no need wasting money we do not have, engaging in frivolous spending and enormous waste only to go and hire Lamorde to come and attack your opponents just because you don't trust your own economic figures. |

It is very wrong for an economic and financial watchdog to be dependent on the executive to begin with. . .EFCC ought to ba an independent body with leadership appointed by a panel of Judges |

violent: Which judges? The $3,000,000 per judgement ones, a la Ekiti and Osun election appeal courts, or which ones? The whole system has been corrupted by ill gotten money, and everyone's getting it! They are preparing the ground for either a popular revolution, or a bloody uprising. They think people are blind because they pay the press and professional bloggers to fight their cause in deceiving the people. God, however, is not mocked. The day of reckoning is moving closer. |

sochan: Indeed . The effort required to 'clean up' will be Herculean. This is why we cannot afford an insincere stooge/tool of the most corrupt in the land , like Yar Adua, as our President in 2011 . Nigeria will simply not survive !!! We are seeing the same insincere charade under GEJ with this worthless attempt to embarrass Dick Cheney while the buddies of Jonathan , who happen to be the most corrupt individuals in Nigeria's history, walk around with serious 'swagger' . We have no choice but to vote in a President with a strong credential for fighting corruption if we want Nigeria to survive and thrive. |

@Gbawe, I am right behind you. PDP must be kicked out, they have been in power for 12yrs with nothing to show. We need change, Nigeria Needs Change and that change cannot be found in PDP. please vote wisely |
