School is a term used mostly by polytechnics to denote a group of interrelated disciplines or Dept. College is used mostly by universities to denote Professional disciplines that has ancient greeco-Roman roots such as medicine or for Postgraduate studies. Mostly headed by a distinct set of administrators (Provost) While faculty is generally used as to denote group of interrelated disciplines within a university. E.g faculty of social science, Physical science, etc. Headed by a dean. In general. They imply the same.

it's like asking the difference between john, joseph and joshua for someone whose name is john joseph joshua. calling any of the names refer to one and the same person. a faculty, school and college all refer to a group of similar departments grouped together as one entity. QED.

A college is a school for higher learning. To attend, a student must have completed high school, and of course, be accepted in the admissions process. Colleges are 4-year institutions, offering Bachelor’s (or 4-year) degrees. Generally, a student, upon completion of college, earns a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, etc. (A community college is a 2-year program, where a student can earn a 2-year associates degree and after which a student transfers to a regular college to earn a bachelor’s.) “College” is the common, general American term that refers to all study after high school.

A university is a larger institution, made up of more than one college. So, you can attend the University of Connecticut, taking your courses in the College of Arts and Sciences. You can earn a Bachelor’s from a university. The big difference is that a university also offers graduate programs to earn a Master’s degree, and even higher, a Doctorate (or Phd).

In the USA, “school” can refer to any college or university, as in “Where do you go to school for veterinary studies?” or “Are you excited to go back to school in a few weeks?” “School” can also refer to any institution of learning, from preschool to elementary school to middle school to college. “School” also refers to a particular program or even college within a university, such as, “the school of medicine,” or “the school of education.”
Institute can mean many things, but usually refers to an organization—sometimes a college or university, sometimes not—whose focus is learning and research, particularly in the sciences.

Faculty in the USA refers entirely to teachers and professors, in any college, university or even high school. It is the word for this group of people and is singular, “The faculty is very happy about the pay increase.” A single person is referred to as a faculty member of member of the faculty. Or just teacher or professor.
Department is to an area of study. You take classes in the music department—this refers to all the music teachers, their classes, and even where their offices are located. “Dr. Smith is a member of the fine arts department.” “What classes did you take in the physics department?” “What building is the English department located in?”

Center usually refers to a place on campus—it could be the student center (snack bar, meeting rooms, offices, etc.), the fine arts center (studios, classrooms, exhibition halls, etc.).

With my little understanding... Faculty consists of various likely departments and headed by a Dean
While College is another school on its own...

College of health sciences in a University setting as a study... College of health sciences consist also "Faculty" Faculty of clinical sciences, basic medical sciences e.t.c with the faculty also headed by a Dean and above the Dean is a Provost who is the head of the college of health sciences who is then answerable to the VC of the institution

College of health sciences can be likened to college of education in this regard because it is headed by the provost just that if it is in affiliation to a university a VC will be the overall manager

College or school such as college of nursing, college of health technology are health certificate awarding institution and doesn't grant B.sc unless affiliated to a university

It's all semantics....for administrative purposes.

A school will streamline into courses in a particular subject area.

A faculty position entails a more broader organisational structure.

In Nigeria.....Universities of Technology use School
Universities of Agriculture use College
Conventional Universities use Faculty

A college will not always be headed by a Provost.

Well, I think the difference in usage is in the institution.

I think conventional institutions like University of Ibadan etc use the term Faculty while specialised institutions like University of Technology etc use School.

I stand to be corrected.

College is more like an independent institution on it's own,but still under a university name.
School is a professional institution that can stand on it's own without being run by a university.
Faculty is strictly run by the university.

I disagree with your judgement on the matter
Like university of Ilorin uses Faculty of engineering, faculty of science e.t.c Federal university of technology Minna uses school of engineering, school of science e.t.c. All these schools and faculties run by the university authority. That's why they have Senate members in each school which comprises of Deen of each school/faculty and HODs . Where they deliberate on the issue concerning the running of the school.
Faculty /school are just nomenclature, it is the same no different sir

Let me try

Faculties are use by conventional Universities. In these institutions, Depts are arranged in a faculty based on the disciplines. Only one college u'll see in the conventional university and it's called College of Health sciences.

Conventional universities are the universities that offer almost every courses. The purpose of it creation is not to target any specific field of study. E.g of their names: university of maiduguri, university of Lagos, University of Nigeria, University of Oxford, University of California etc.

While colleges and school of whatever are used in a special universities. Their depts are arranged in colleges and schools.

Special universities are created specially to train some specific field of study. E.g of such unies are University of Technology, University of Agriculture, University of Health Sciences, etc. These institutions do not offer courses in all disciplines. There were created to build some specific area of studies. Unlike the conventional that offer A-z as they deem fit.

I don't really know. But I have observed that in my own university FUTMINNA we use 'School' and it's common to the Three FUT's including FUTA and FUTO.
We have School Of Engineering and Engineering Technology SEET in all FUT's but other conventional universities use Faculty of Engineering.

If your uncle has money according to you and still can't go to some places, known from today that he is a broke mofo.
Any place Inosson stand,if you go close without a good reason or authority I'm sure you'll be shot dead even with your PhD.
