Please bankers in the house,is there any explanations to this development?
And please apart from fixed deposit is there other better investments available?.

I was told d same thing then I liquidated my 2m fixed deposit in access bank on 13th Jan. surprisingly they paid me 4,500 as interest for the two weeks, d thing come make me confuse. does it mean d new rate does not affect d already existing fixed deposit or to affect d new ones to be done

There is a package in Zenith Bank called Life Assurance where you will be depositing certain amount in your account every month and Zenith Bank will be deducting the money from your account at a date specify by you. The minimum investment is #5000 and you will be getting 6% of the money. The disadvantage is that you can only access your money and percentage after 2 years

I still have a fixed deposit I didn't liquidate in zenith. by Monday I will know if its affected by d new 0.5% rate. if so I go just liquidate am till anoda option comes . I think its better to keep d money in ordinary savings acct than this new .5%

The crashed in rate is for new Investments.
But, Big Financial institutions still give very good rates but the render Personalised Investment Services....Let's talk privately on these

I am not the type of person that put my money anywhere outside the bank..please if any one knows how I can keep getting good interests within the bank should do well to share.
