What happened to the tradition of Oriki in Yorubaland?

I came upon this video and I was in love with Yorubaland again. OMG, So beautiful!!! God bless Yorubaland.

I love our traditional practices, plz let's not forget where we came from and how we came into this world. Knowing those facts and never forgetting is the essence of life.

No. I just checked. There is none for Ekiti. And none for Ila Orangun as well.

I only listen to the one for Ife and Ijebu; my mother is from ijebu!

oriki goes by individual town or hometown.

if you're seeing orikis for yoruba in general, then they might be recent compositions.

so an overall ekiti oriki would have to be composed by someone.
