Car gurus in the house, i use a Toyota camry 2001, the gear selects fine but i noticed that it's sluggish at start but picks gradually to normal speed. Ascending a hilly road is another problem, sometimes i will have to put it in L to overtake, O/D light blinks when On, check engine light not on. The reverse gear is sharp. Pls what could be the problem? Awaiting positive responses

usually the first step will be to drain the gear oil,clean the filter and replace the oil

I have experienced the similar problem with Toyota Camry (orobo), I change the transmission oil and cleaned the oil filter...but the car is still dragging, sometimes I have to take off from 2...my mechanic still can't diagnose the fault
