Don't address security issues across the country, insufficient electricity supply or come up with coherent economic policies. Instead introduce 79 new visa categories, and tell us this is what we need to move Nigeria forward.

Number 5 is trouble and the crux of the matter but no one is seeing the trap. We are opening our borders to the entire continent at a time of heightened security challenges due to activities of supposed foreigners.
5. It will introduce the issuance of visa at the point of entry into Nigeria to all persons holding passports of African countries.

Number 9 points make sense

We don't even know our population
We don't even know number of unemployment.
We don't even have enough MW of electricity.
We don't even have security.

Poor countries will take advantage to migrate to Nigeria..

It is annoying listening to people who don't ask questions.

It is said that the policy will create jobs but you are not asking how?

It's been 7years since the attached promises were made, what % of the lots have been achieved? But of course, trust Nigerians with their lack of critical thinking to swallow promises hook, line & sinker.

Visa on arrival!!... So finally this is being implemented. Nigeria is at the last straw.. Nigeria has no data of everyone in the country and yet relaxing already porous borders to anyone with an African passport. Haba

How is this possible
Visa are principally an immigration thing.
I still wonder how?
Are they opening up the agency for recruitment?
Or
Can anyone now print his own visa?
How will this generate employment for the youth?

Worst thing govt of Nigeria can do for the Nigeria people, even worst than poor power provision, is to compound insecurity and unemployment in the nation by enabling the poor of every African Nation to come share what little the Nigeria people have. I fail to see how opening Nigeria to all Africans will create employment if the visa policy does not limit the quality of these immigrants by their financial, skills and educational levels. Nigerias poor require jobs creators’ not unemployed migrants that in many cases come from these African nations that hate you Nigerians and join white nations in calling you criminals and shithole.

The only hope for poor Nigerians in this apparently terrible policy for them is if the government was in effect trying to control entry to Nigeria through the borders by channelling these illigals to the air/sea ports where they can be assessed and in majority cases refused entry due to being unable to fulfil criteria above their poor vagrants circumstances.Or, if allowed in, to register them so that, should they overstay or commit crime and are caught, they are deported, disqualifying thire return ever. This is however unlikely since government has shown no true determination to control or manage Nigerias borders evident in measures taken along the lines of border walls or electronic means.

Nigerians are leaving the country in droves and instead of the government asking questions Its is talking about attracting foreigners and ease of doing business with foreigners.

How many foreigners will be truely and consistently attracted to a country where its people are running away

They are obviously running away from Smtn undecided
