In a swift copycat move, the northern
Nigerian states have decided to
launch their own answer to Amotekun.
Insecurity has been brewing & cooking
for decades, but before now, all they
had in place was the 'Hisbah' who
ignored real security issues, but specialized
in seizing & breaking beer bottles &
apprehending women of the night.
All these when their people were being
slaughtered like chickens & villages
Since most of the current security challenges
in the country have northern origin, one
wonders what they are aiming to
achieve by this action.
Many times, hardened criminals are
apprehended by our national security forces,
but northern governors eventually release
them without trial, saying the criminals
For this outfit, only time shall tell.
However, if Ndigbo try a similar outfit,
troops will be withdrawn from Maiduguri
& redeployed to east to stop & arrest
supporters of the initiative..
