I will never understand this mentality of soldiers in Nigeria looking down on police officers. In most advanced countries the police is the ultimate authority on law and order and soldiers are basically charged with defending the country against external aggression no more no less and have zero powers on internal security matters. Things are done in this country in an upside down manner that makes no sense.

The army personals are sometimes bullies and sometimes behave like they are above the law.

Really heartbreaking & saddening! May God comfort his wife, children & the whole family in his own way. The Army need to something urgently about their men. Recently, some soldiers in Jos, tortured a man of early 30s (a graduate) to death just because of a disagreement btw him & a lady who owns a provision store. The lady reported the deceased to the soldiers when he bought an egg of 50naira and he refused to pay. He is to be buried today

The late police had nothing to do with the fight. The crazy soldier just went to be shooting at a camp housing policemen just because he presumed another policeman dragging a girl with him lives in that camp.

The innocent officer who was just returning to the camp got killed by a stray bullet. Haba!
