A concerned student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Aderewa Omowunmi has written a letter to the state governor, Dapo Abiodun over the suspension of the student union election in the institution.

Omowunmi in the letter which was written to Abiodun through his Special Assistant On Students' Affairs to the governor, Adeyemi Azeez accused the management of MAPOLY of intentionally suspending the election.

He appealed to the governor to step in so as to ensure the student union of the institution has an executive.

His letter reads partly, "I am writing this letter as a concerned student of our esteemed citadel of learning Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.

"This is to call your attention to the recent suspended Student Union Election by the [Director Students’Affairs] based on the notion that the atmosphere on the election day was tensed.
Interestingly, many student are still at sea over the management’s action.

"While a section of the student believed the election was postponed others felt it was cancelled.

"Nonetheless, the management had cleared the air on the rumor, saying the election was suspended and further action would be communicated in due time, we are in another session currently but until now we have not heard from the management.

"The Student Union remains a body that represent the students interest duly Sir and we wouldn’t want the management to deprive us of that privilege Sir.

"That is why we want you to step in YOUR EXCELLENCY SIR. God bless you."
