SPA On Information To Enugu State Governor

*SEN DR CHIMAROKE NNAMANI( EBEANO) ; A RESURGENCE OF NATIONAL LEADERSHIP,INTER-REGIONAL COHESION AND GLIMPSE OF THE 9th ASSEMBLY*

From the beginning of Korean Peninsula to the dust of Darfur,from the valleys of Chechnya to the debris of Hiroshima,from the coast of River Tigres to the end of Bermuda triangle,from the charming scenery of Ismaelia's Riverside to the warm beaches of Zanzibar ,from the mountains of Kasarani-Kenya to the desert of Sahel ; only a few leaders can intuitively captivate their audience with thought-provoking and soul-appraising speeches like Benjamin Netanyahu and Chimaroke Nnamani.

Apparently in his buzzing and commanding element, glaringly gorgeous and elegant ; his buoyant mood and blistering form were betrayed on arrival by his glittering white attire as he stepped into the studios of AIT and ARISE Television on Tuesday the 18th of June and Thursday the 20th of June respectively.

*The world knew a vintage, turbocharged , reinvigorated and rejuvenated EBEANO was about to be unleashed*.

Starved of his exquisite and sublime stage authority, denied of his flawless eloquence and perhaps, confronted by his seemingly unpredictable temperament; the Nigerians anxiously waited to catch a glimpse of the Lion, sometimes fiercely beleaguered but desperately loved by his people.

Renowned for his deep reflections,content and power of delivery, an ebullient and excited EBEANO didn't disappoint.

His mien glaringly portrayed the pious image of a resurgent king of the plebeians, desperately yearning for a chance to mitigate the yawning abyss between the privileged and the downtrodden , a widening chasm between the haves and the have-not, and ameliorating the excruciating pains of the paupers while confronting an institutionalized serfdom brewing a poverty capital of the world.

Driven by his deep convictions that premium should be placed on equality of the citizenry especially in the balancing of power and accruable leverages, his demeanor appeared so steeped or imbued on a rescue mission in defence of the Poorer majority.

*In a wicked and capitalist world , where extremities of affluence live side by side with extremities of penury, EBEANO's mission is to generate a mental immunity that shields those on the precipice or fringes of collapse in the socio-political melee , from the rampaging and marauding oppressors of the people, the dysfunctional bourgeoisie, transmuters of the original fate of men, those who pose as intermediaries between God and man, those who have been on top of the food-chain for too long and those feigning to deputise for divinity*.

If it's not in the interest of the masses or genuine collective interest of the people , count EBEANO out.

For a start,
he took Nigerians on a historical voyage of African leadership and political nostalgia ; reeling out the names of colonial and neo-colonial gladiators with the ease of an ancestral poet.

The making of the leadership of the 9th National Assembly through a ""bipartisan process"" is a coinage exclusively reserved for Sen Dr Nnamani. He opined that the collective agenda of the Nigerian project can only be founded on educated judgments achievable via the instrumentality of advocacy, lobbying, interfacing and robust debate as opposed to grandstanding, infighting and baseless frustration of the Executive Arm. A stance he clearly isolated from legislative subservience or what could be captured as an Executive hijack of the Legislature. He advocated for co-independent and inter-complementary Senate ,pursuant to best global practices in a presidential democracy.He enjoined the Nation to lean towards an Eco-friendly economy in tune with global trends.

Reform of the Electoral system was not forgotten .He posited that the *Certificate of Return* was not only surplus to requirement but an elitist deceit,an intellectual dishonesty,an unnecessary invention, a manipulation by the bourgeoisie, and a distraction by a dysfunctional elite.To this Sage,no bureaucracy should be allowed between a candidate elected by the will of the majority and the actual assumption of office.His mind harbours a cheap and simplified *method of voting akin to usage of Bank ATM*.

He advocated for a legal codification of gender equality to guarantee in commensurate terms the input of women in this critical time of our Nation Building.

He canvassed for a revamped Health sector with visionary reforms that will include inter alia, treatment of patients on arrival without the requirement of a police report,sufficient provision for open defecation, government palliatives for sickle cell patients and free medical treatment for indigent Nigerians.

On Education, he succinctly canvassed for a special intervention by the Government via scholarship for the development future intellectual giants.

Oozing in sustained confidence, His Excellency Sen Dr Chimaroke Ogbonnia Nnamani predicted the renaissance of Igbo in the comity of Nations through effective dialogue, lobbying, advocacy ,bonding and robust debate to restore her place in the original tripod.(Igbo,Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba).

*Dazzling and mesmerizing his interviewers,Dr Nnamani demanded for a SouthEast Development Commission to address the dilapidated infrastructural realities of a Zone abandoned since the civil war.(What is good for the goose ,is good for the gander).While craving for juicy appointments for Ndigbo,EBEANO emphatically embellished his desire for a full restoration of the dignity of Igbo man*.

With the unquestionable credentials of Ndigbo as the linchpin or kernel of Nigerian Economy and Academia ,it's certain that with a little balancing of power Eastern Nigeria would be turned into Oasis of prosperity.

Ndigbo cannot be reduced to a beggarly Nation of impotent and lachrymal people now weeping about marginalization and rueing our historical standing without rejiging our strategy.

It's the kind of nostalgia that is both defeatist and deadly because it continues to romanticize the past , while the future speeds away.

However, i am interested in what our people can learn from our sublime encounters with history whose outcome need not be quixotic or sisyphean.

Stereotyping the Igbo did not change their natural disposition to hard work, aggressiveness, showiness and ethnic pride ;all parochially interpreted as the Igbo hubris ,which in enemy parlance is a tragic flow.

But the body-language of Sen Dr Chimaroke Nnamani resonates with a rising crescendo of the indestructibility of our hope ; an inconquerable Nation,a resilient people that will renew their faith and rewrite her credentials trading on the path of mutual respect for the rest of the regions.

While defiantly insisting that national cohesion, unity and wellbeing of the generality of Nigerians tower above party affiliations, the former Governor admitted the fact that the PDP has sustained democracy like no other since 1999 ; transmitting power from a Ruling party to the opposition.A feat hitherto unfashionable, alien and unprecedented in Africa.

Even when proudly PDP, he reiterated his commitment to a vibrant, safe, productive , peaceful and egalitarian Nigeria , above all chauvinistic tendencies, ethno-religious sentiments ,sectarian barriers and partisan politics.

The legendary EBEANO fired a complimentary salvo in absolute loyalty to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency , Rt Hon Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi when the opportunity presented itself.

*The flamboyant Senator has been very grateful to Almighty God and Governor Ugwuanyi who in concert with the people facilitated his redemption from what he deliberately christened a political "wilderness"*.

No wonder the parlance that ""it's more painful than a serpent tooth to have a thankless child"".

At every turn, EBEANO has been profoundly grateful in unmistakable terms to the political generosity,sagacity and goodwill of our humble Governor ; whom he delightfully calls his political leader.

*The era of uneducated and uninterested citizenry is gone*.

Under trial is not only the quality of our evolving leadership models but the quality of our citizenship.

It's a brazen incongruity to watch an informed populace maintain deafening silence while Democracy is routinely eviscerated by a bunch of misfits riding on the crest of the electorates acquiescence.The People are tired of being led by the ignominious conspiracy of silence. A debacle that places guilt squarely on all of us.

Never again shall we send representatives that are inept ,disconnected with the populace and ultimately shy of our first eleven.

Those that are leading our representational frontlines with profound courage, unyielding vigour, unwavering commitment, verifiable integrity and manifest competences must be backed by the people in perilous times like now.

Sen Dr Chimaroke Nnamani's recent media appearances bear repetitions of the new narratives in the offing for the masses. A testament of excellence that resonates with our defiant spirit in the face of unprovoked adversity.

*Leaders make sacrifices.Sacrifice for self or sacrifice of self.Both are contending and one must give way*

It's clear that His Excellency, Sen Dr Chimaroke Nnamani 's second missionary journey in the Senate is sacrificial in favour of his constituents and Ndigbo in general.

I already feel the drift.
Echoes shall be heard in high places .
And the end shall be marvelous in our eyes!!.
