The dirty dealings of a man who has grown to become a druglord in Benin City has been exposed, with revelations of how he grew a petty drug business into an empire that has fetched him properties in choice locations in Benin City and in the process damaging the lives of hundreds of youths in the city.

The kingpin goes by the name Mr. Emmanuel Okuns aka Doctor K, and he operates the handle, Uwa Osa Okun, on facebook.

Parents of the some victims of Mr. Okuns' drug business have appealed to the public, the government of Edo State and relevant security agencies, including the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to clamp down on Mr. Okuns' illegal drug operations.

Mr Okuns operates mainly from his base known around Benin, especially among drug users at Hilltop Bar, sandwiched between Zenith Bank and Vegetable Market on Airport Rd.

Mr. Okuns, it was gathered, started as a small time drug dealer in Benin about a decade and half ago and has been plying his illicit drug trade, with canabis, loud, colorado, arizona, with Indian Hemp being the least potent/harmful in the bouquet of drugs that he sells, around Benin and particularly at his Hilltop Bar base.

A psychiatrist, practicing in Benin, who prefers to be called Omo, said Mr. Okuns enjoys the reputation of being one of the most successful drug peddlers in Benin metropolis, going by testimonies of drug victims he has had to engage with.

According to him, "Mr. Okuns has ammassed for himself enviable properties in choice areas within Benin and other parts of the country from this illicit business. He is said to own a duplex as well as several other landed properties on Irhirhi Road, in Benin City. This wealth was build on the damage of the mental health of our youths."

One of parents of the victims, identified as Mrs. Asemota, said Mr. Okuns represents the worst in our society, noting, "He is personally responsible for ruining the lives of thousands of Edo youths who have found themselves sliding uncontrolably down the steep, slippery slopes of drug use and addiction."

Mr. Okuns parades a rich array of canabis strains marketed directly or through proxies across Benin. Some of these strains - such as Colorado, Arizona, One puff, are so potent that they have been known to send users to the nuthouse with just a single drag.

These strains are not only dangerous but are also expensive and highly addictive, says Mr Omo.

Investigations revealed that a pinch of some of the drug goes for as much as N25,000.

"Videos of people, especially youths who are seen to have lost sanity temporarily and in some cases permanently, are today replete on social media. These are victims of the likes of Mr. Okuns. It is not totally surprising how he has been able to escape the long arms of the law up until now, as he has openly boasted in the past that he has the relevant law enforcement angencies on his payroll," says a another parent, Mr. Benson.

"As a parent, I am desperately calling on the relevant law enforcement agencies and especially the Government of Godwin Obaseki, to help us rid the state of the likes of Mr. Okuns and put him in prison where he truly belongs. He has already damaged one life too many," he said.

It is doubtful that Okuns can continue to escape the clutches of the law for much longer as it is obvious that as it is said in pidgin English parlance 'his cup don dey full'.

He don't loom that fresh to the claims of what he has made.

He is a normal SK seller.

Leave strain matter.

But to just put someone's picture up.

Is it NL that will arrest who you said NDLEA and police have not arrested.

He didn't force anyone to buy his drugs o and there should be moderation in anything that goes into the mouth.
He is still far more better than our politicians that are destroying the future of millions of Nigerian youths
