Our vision is very important to us,
and we place a lot of value on it.

But knowingly or unknowningly, as humans, we do things
that affect the health of our eyes negatively...

...or neglect to do things that improve the health
of our eyes and the quality of our vision.

I have compiled 5 of the most crutial tips to apply today
to improve or maintain eye health and the quality of our vision
and tip no. 5 will absolutely blow you away.

This is Tip No. 1 for improving your eye sight
and I believe you may not be expecting this.


Tip No. 1 is

Exercise
.........


You see, most degenerative eye diseases are encouraged by
the lack of blood flow to and through the eyes.

So, anything that improves blood circulation through the body
(and therefore to and through the eyes) will on its own improve the
health of your eyes and the quality of your vision.

So what kind of exercise?

The truth here is that the focus here is not on eliminating belly fat
or growing bigger biceps.

The goal is to improve circulation, and therefore anything that will do just that works.

Jugging or rope-skiping are the two easiest to perform for this purpose.

Rope-skipping does not require that you do it outside and indeed
you can jug on the same spot for 6 minutes every morning before a bath

This will give your body an increased boost in circulation every morning before you start your day.

Besides the need for healthier eyes, better blood flow improves the health of the other organs of our bodies.
So find a way to exercise (to create deliberate locomotion) because our bodies were built for locomotion.

(if you happen to be one of those caught in the habit).

This is Tip No. 2 for maintaining healthy eyes
and by extension improving the quality of your vision.

But don't forget that tip no. 5 has proven to produce
fantastic results with people


Tip No. 2 is

Do Not Smoke

The nicotine in cigarettes robs the blood of oxygen.
It constricts blood vessels, reducing the blood flow to all
parts of the body.


You alreay are aware that part of the problem with diseases of the eye
is reduced blood flow to the eye.

To digress a bit, this is probably why heavy smoking can sometimes lead to agility issues
in the other room.

Now many people who smoke have developed some (or a great deal of) addiction to cigarettes
because nicotine is an addictive substance.

The only thing I can recommend if quitting smoking is difficult, is use of
an effective body detoxifier once in 3 months.

I recommend the only one listed in the Physicians Desk Reference of North America,
found at www.pdr.net. It takes off the nicotine from your system.

Tip No. 3 is

Avoid Exposure To Excessive Light

Ultra-violet rays (UV rays) from sunlight can be very harmful to the eyes.

There are 2 types of UV rays, UV-A and UV-B.


UV-A can harm your central vision. It can cause damage to the macula, which is a part
of the retina at the back of your eye.

Macula degeneration (the degeneration of the macula) is a leading cause of loss of vision loss
in older people.

The front part of the eye (the cornea and the lens) absorb most UV-B rays that come in contact with the eyes
but these UV-B rays can end up causeing more harm to your eyes than UV-A rays.


UV rays, especially UV-B rays, may also cause some kinds of cataracts.
A cataract is a clouding of the eye’s natural lens, the part of the eye that focuses the light we see.

Pterygium
Another UV-related problem is a growth called pterygium.
This growth begins on the white of the eye and may involve the cornea.
Eventually, the growth may block vision.
It is more common in people who work outside in the sun and wind.

Now, does this mean we do not need enough sunlight for vitamin D?
Of course not.

First of all, we hear that the ozone layer is being depleted due to human activity
but tropical areas close to the equator have more ozone than anywhere else in the world.

As a matter of fact, most of the ozone in the stratosphere is formed over the equatorial belt,
where Nigerian happens to be. So the amount of UV rays that gets through to people living in
the tropics is much lower than what obtains elsewhere.

Secondly, protecting your eyes from UV rays essentially entails using dark glasses
on very hot and sunny days. If you do not want to use sun shades, then you
may use photochromic lenses.

So the summary here is:

i). Use sunshades to protect your eyes from excessive sunlight
ii). Use photochromic lenses

The important thing to rmember here is that the negative effects of excessive sunlight on
the eyes adds up over the years.

Tip No. 4 is

Do Eye Exercises
...................

Just as exercising other parts of our bodies keep it in shape and in optimum condition,
exercising the muscles of the eye keep those muscles flexible for a long periond of time.

One easy excercise to do to maintain or improve your view of far and near objects is to
do a focus exercise.

Place your pointer finger in front of you, 10 inches in front of your eyes.

Now focus on and observe the pattern of your finger print for a few seconds.

Then switch you focus to any object 10 to 20 feet away from you. Focus on the object
for a few seconds, then return to your thumb.

Repeat the cycle of focusing on your pointer finger and then switching to the far away object.

Do this 5 to 7 times every time you do it, or as many times as you more times as you can.
It's totally up to you.

The most important thing is that those muscles for focus in your eyes are being exercised.
