SC was more concerned with time frame within which to resolve election matters rather than examining all the issue raised at the tribunal and lower court. In other words SC narrowed the arguments and even over looked it own decision on Nwosu. No mater which divide you sympathise with, the truth must never be muddle up with politics. eventhough PDP did not provide a result, should the result provided by APC not be subjected to test and interrogation. Oya unilaterally produce WEAC exam result which waec cancelled.

Supreme court goofed with IMO judgement, Hope never campaigned....He just lodged in a hotel on election day to write results and then hired some senior SANs to achieve his deadly mission beside even with the fake results he presented, it is not up to the geographical spread required to be declared a Governor

Inec rejected the results, only two parties were captured on the results, some of the sheets were for an older election, the turnout was astronomical. What exactly did the Supreme Court see to change the verdict? Aeroplane technicalities?

Admittedly all elections have errors and shenanigans. But that’s why the bar for removing an incumbent is high. After all the games and maneuverings the umpire declares a result. It is VERY IMPORTANT not to change that result unless the documentary proof is unassailable and the reasons crystal clear. INEC declared Ihedioha the winner and Hope 4th place. That’s the baseline. They were not equal - one was the incumbent, the other came FOURTH! You don’t lightly change that.

They could produce no results because election never took place there. That was what INEC and PDP insisted.

The labyrinthine politics of Nigeria has left us totally befuddled.

Elections weren't held where hope uzordima argued he scored most votes ,with 100% appearance of accredited voters.. How do you want inec to have results without elections...

Fear the Law and the advocates who interpret the law

The bottom line is electoral reform. As an institution you either reform or die when the demands of good governace and best practices are tabled.

Folks like us cried to high heavens for electoral reforms but INEC stuck to its guns to favour the incumbent. This is the result. Elections have gravitated from INEC to the courts. INEC is losing its relevance and its credibility. Very soon if this trend is not bucked 100% of our elections will be decided in courts then we will call on the Judiciary to conduct elections and save us the billions wasted by INEC on so called elections.

Nigerians should consider the fact that court cases are expensive and waste scarce resources. It is not in the interest of the taxpayer for his resources to be wasted on matters that border on good governace. Nigerians must demand that INEC reform positively and INEC must demand that Mr. President sign the electoral bill asap to save us from this needless mess.

The Judiciary determining electoral matters IS NOT NORMAL. It should be the remote exception not the rule.
