It all started the first day i stepped into our school's prayer arena.That particular day, our senior colleagues organised an orientation meeting for us then because, we were new in the institution. After the orientation, i was among those who wanted to work for God in my department. Though I was depressed as at then because of my course (botany), i still had to join them. Little did i know that i was going to be appointed as our 100level departmental prayer cordinator. When i was given the position, i tot it was a normal prayer stuff, I didn't know that i was going to be called a pastor automatically. I hated being called a pastor, and to make matters worse, my department had no senior prayer cordinator frm year2- 4, having struggled with the post for a while, now that i'm in 200level i feel like quitting it.
I'm inexperienced in terms of religious leadership on campus and my coursemates ain't helping issues, i can't keep pretending to be who i'm not

I'll give you two types of solution.

Normal solution. .. Tell them to their face. I no do again. Simple. Nobody go beat you. It's a university for God's sake.

Reminds me of deji in school. Prayer coordinator wey discover punna during the course of him tenure. Syphilis Don bore plenty hole for him prick. Mucus full am. The Preeq was half dead already. Baba start to cry. Because of say he holy he no wan go hospital. He dey die inside. The lady Wey he nack sef if say he tell me I for advise am. The girl na std factory. Last last na me arrange make he cure o. Agbo plus everything.
Na so pastor title for turn my guy to eunuch.

In my opinion, you should let people know if you need time off.

Although Nigerians do not like folks not taking assigned supposedly optional duties, but if you say you're struggling with depression, then you need help for yourself too.

It seems most of the students are still managing the course... (botany) i guess thats a contributing factor. (low self esteem)
