A Fuji Legend just passed on.
I was a mega fan.
Fuji Garbage and Extravaganza were my favourites.
He had one in the 80's which I liked also.
It was just when he came back from USA.
I think the lyrics went like this

'Hi, ladies and Gentlemen
Come and dance to fuji music
Fuji sound is berra for you
E je ka jo joo
ah ah ah ah(4ce)'

'Leaders with velvet tone
Chorus with golden voice'

Can someone help me with the remaining lyrics?

Check out the percussion on the music.

Unbelievable tongue

@dayokanu and Elzarus
You are really taking me back to those memories of Barrister. I was listening to his early 80s music recently and thought I will buy some soon, never knew he was almost dead. The days "fuji gabaje, e wa gbo " "which wasy nigeria" "omo o ei pe dagba". . .

He was the first to start fuji music after he left the army in the early 70s. He introduced fuji music to Kollington and his musics were all full of messages and knowledge but Kollington introduced "ashakasa" into fuji music. . .

Rest In Peace - Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister

This man was simply a legend!
Dont blame us for knowing his lyrics so well.
Any Yoruba guy/lady 25 years and above would have grown up listening to his music, no thanks to our parents. He was simply the best choice for most of them.
This is apart from the fact that his songs made sense, had depth and were innteresting to listen to.
His songs are simply in my ROM, cant do anythin abt them.

Apart from the fact that they were indepth.

Rest in peace!

Adieu Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Ololade Olanbiwoninu Abinuwaye Adeyinka Barrister (MFR).

For those who pay attention to the messages musicians pass across and not just the beats, you are surely one of the best to have come out of Nigeria music industry. Your over 130 albums including several hits are already a tribute to your accomplished life.

My favourites are Dimensional Fuji and The Truth where he talked extensively on the socio-political problem of the country…

1st October 1960, t’a ti gba independence wa,
E o so fun wa pe Omi inira ni,
Ologun pelu civilian ni mo n bawi,
