The bolded left me thinking about our healthcare system. Diagnosed with various illnesses when in actual fact the man had cancer.

God should just have mercy on us in this country.

Bro our country's healthcare system is messed up no doubt but first diagnosis are usually like that anywhere in the world. It takes several tests and diagnosis to know what is ailing a person. However in Nigeria we suffer no diagnosis, wrong diagnosis,late diagnosis,no treatment, wrong treatment, late treatment n sometimes when an early diagnosis is made no specialist hospital for treatment and possible cure.

We refused to develop our healthcare system when other parts of the world were busy doing so.

We've lost one of our own.
So heartbroken.

Unfortunately, the society enjoys chasing shadows and not asking the right questions as can be seen in his colleagues contributing money and not asking the employer to show evidence of insurance cover according to the law.

Likewise, the alumni association can have similar insurance policy.

Please, every employee should ask his/her employer to provide evidence of Group Life Insurance in their name. It is compulsory.

If you drink more than 4 bottles of beer daily or more than 2 shots of hard liquor daily, you need to save this testament( his last interview before his death). Kidney and liver disease are killing Nigerians daily. Many have resorted to alcohol as stress reliever and to forget the daily sorry this country and buhari bestows upon them daily.

I am sure it would have depending on the extension/clauses on the Group Life cover.

However, I think you mixing up Insurance with/for HMO from your statement above. Did you buy HMO or Insurance cover?

Both are distinct and different: HMO covers normal sickness like malaria, typhoid, and has surgery limit depending on the cover purchased abinito.

On the other hand, Insurance's Critical Illness policy covers critical/terminal/chronic (some incurable but manageable) illnesses like cancer, stroke, heart attack and kidney disease.

Meanwhile, some HMOs do have agreement/affiliation with BUPA to cover some of these critical illness as well.

Unfortunately, most Nigerians don't read/listen to understand especially when payment is involved. We had rather wait for govt to do everything.

I have been making various attempts to get help. Some numbers I would easily call and get responses, right now, those numbers are far from reachable.

Still at that, the donation was late, the sickness started mid last year which he has been battling to make him frequent in the hospitals for months b4 his death
