Dextre:

This una story here nor be sleep paralysis..some of y'all need to pray grin grin. In sleep paralysis,u are suppose to be awake but without control of your body simple..all this I went to hell,I went to heaven,I was been chased..dese are dreams

You don't know what sleep paralysis is. It doesn't happen while you are awake. It usually start like a dream, but while your brain wakes up to the reality of it, your body is still being held back. You want to come out of the dream, but the body is still being dragged to it.

Often it's usually about life and death dream. Your brain comes out of the dream but your body is being dragged for atleast 10 to 30seconds while you struggle physically and spiritually to rip yourself out of the dragging/pulling forces that want to take you to the other side.

When you finally open your eyes, you would know you have fought a battle. You will usually see evidence of your battle with the forces. Most times, you will see excessive sweat....and it doesn't matter if the AC is on 16degC.

The battle is not when you wake up. It is the few seconds that your brain wakes up and your body is held back. Now that your brain is woken it needs to do something so fast and so drastic within that short period they are dragging your soul. Most people call on their supreme spiritual being at this instance. You just need to settle that scores immediately your brain wakes up lest you cross over.

Well I was accused of witchcraft during my NYSC days because of this.
Someone who hated me convinced all the people I shared room with overnight that I was the one pressing them. It was corpers fellowship house with those religious folks who thought they had the right to lynch me for being a 'witch'. It was traumatic guys.

Woah... That's bad
They are funny... What proof do they have that you were "pressing" them?

Sleep paralysis happen when your body tries to correct abnormalities. Those with sexually transmitted infections usually have Eros dream and wakes up with sleep paralysis. They will wake up and won't be able to move until they orgasm/release/Cum (whichever).
Those with weakness and stress tend to have something like nightmare. When they are finally able to jerk from the paralysis, they will be panting like they ran a mile race. This may be uncomfortable but it helps your heart and your breathing. Your brain needed oxygen and it usually create an illusion that will trigger your body system to provide such.

Exactly, not all things are spiritual
Farki:
I've had it since I was a small boy, and it runs in the family. Then it was scary now it's just an annoyance.

Initially I was scared that I was dead or would be stuck like this forever. Seeing scary things and hearing voices didn't help, you wanted to scream but couldn't even do that.

Sometimes I would have them every night or multiple times a day. After some years I gained control and learned how to break out of it.

So here's what you should know if you're currently going through this;

1- You're still sleeping.
2- You're not going to die just calm down.
3- Don't bother screaming no one can hear you.
4- Try to think about moving your fingers or toes, if you can move that you can slap yourself into waking up.
5- Avoid sleeping on your back I noticed that triggers it.
6- Try to avoid covering your face when sleeping, it will just make you panic when it happens.
7- The witches you hear aren't real, just ignore them and they will go away.
8- Try to see a psychiatrist or neurosurgeon, you might have an undiagnosed mental illness or brain disorder like seizures or narcolepsy.

Whatever your beliefs are about sleep paralysis, just know that there are metaphysical forces beyond our physical eyes and we are all exposed to them...

Recently scientists have discovered some sort of explanation to that...

Don't try to convince those religious people that it's not spiritual. You ll only be wasting your time and energy if you do.

I happened to be the first person to resume in my lodge during my fourth year. After a long travel I just decided to rest and all of a sudden I felt a big woman lying on top of my body. I could not move and I shouted I could not hear myself, after few minutes I was able to overcome and I prayed. These attack continued and one day I decided to Google it, low and behold I saw sleep paralysis. Since that day I don't panic again, I even laugh when it happens.

IceColdVeins:
Medicalnewstoday.com defined sleep paralysis as a feeling of being unable to move, either at the onset of sleep or upon awakening. The individual's senses and awareness are intact, but they may feel as if there is pressure on them, or as if they are choking. It may be accompanied by hallucinations and intense fear.

In Icecoldvein's opinion, sleep paralysis has a plethora of arguments surrounding it. Researchers uphold various scientific hypothesis that represent sleep paralysis as a biological phenomenal, some even insisted that it only happens when your brain wakes up a few seconds before the peripheral nervous complex (the neurons in your body parts), which in turn triggers slow responses to the brain's information by body parts. On the other hand, Spiritualists maintained the notion that sleep paralysis is designed by demons and can only be remedied spiritually.

I used to have sleep paralysis a lot until it stopped, when I embraced some spiritual antidotes.

Below is still the scariest sleep paralysis experience that I ever had......

I heard my ex's voice yell a threat at me, I was scared and tried to get up, realised I was six fts below ground level with a shiny grave moulded untop of me. And suddenly, the skies changed from it's astonishing high resolution filters to the dreadful black and white effect, as it coughed a heavy thunder down my grave....My mummied body immediately knew it was in for it......I tried fleeing from the horrifying dream, never knew a worse comeuppance awaited me. I was thrown into a solid 40 seconds of sleep paralysis.... before I opened my eyes, hissed and mumbled 'Una papa. I don wake up'

Dear NL,
What are your experiences and beliefs about sleep paralysis ? Your inputs may put some people experiencing it at ease.

Kindly share!!
How does Jesus look like in your dream? Hope you are not referring to Robert Powell as Jesus?

I recall my dad telling my mom how an evil spirit held him in the bed and couldn’t let him move. The prayer that night wasn’t a funny one. Deep down I knew he only had sleep paralysis.
Well about mine. I saw a Jesus like figure talking to me and telling me to repent, out of fear I tried moving from my bed but this unknown force held me down for some seconds. When I was finally able to move i noticed I had tears in my eyes. This happened even before I knew of the term sleep paralysis. I always told my friends I saw Jesus back then. If it was sleep paralysis or Jesus I can’t even tell

not everything is spiritual yes HOWEVER THIS IS.
how silly is this theory? Someone gets paralyzed from head to toe, no previous history, no high blood pressure, perfect perfect health..... Then sudden paralysis and a heavy weight.... If it was just the paralysis, that would have been justified, how do you explain the weigh, or pressure from an unseen force. Pls you people should stop this. Never wanting to admit the truth cos of fear. Awon team "bill gate is a good man with good intentions". If I hear

Lol. This isn't about fear.
Going by what you just said, I'm supposed to believe it's not natural because it happens to people without having an explanation, right?

That's why you are supposed to make a research before concluding it's spiritual. There are a whole lot of phemonena that seem spiritual until a scientific explanation is given for it. Sleep paralysis is just one of em

Sleep paralysis are the end product of scary dream.

Mine was in the night were I found myself falling from a very high distance to a bottomless pit, I keep falling and falling until I woke up. Later in the noon as I was playing my peer mate discovered that my shadow was not casting out on the soil.

I still fear this till date......I mean who knows whatever happens to those that die in their sleep?

It's exactly the same thing that happened to them. The only difference is that they do not respond or give a fight to settle their scores. So they were pulled over to the other side.

I also think its has to do with a state of helplessness within the sub-conscious mind or partially conscious mind which is the foundation and is deeper.
You can pass messages to the deeper mind or the primordial mind, if I may call it, when you are about waking up too, or about ending the dreams, Just believe that you are no longer helpless and gradually the construct of confidence and a higher realization could be built.

This has to lead me to control what i dream, i could be in my dream, and I construct its reality, by thinking it, or wishing it, and when my soul consciousness is been drained in what seems to be a boundary i realize that I must wake up, and not move out of the body if I feel the tornadoes.

Its like evolution, a gradual synthesis, of the connection between the individual and their inner beings or inner biology

Also, I must also mention, that the name of Jesus relaxes me also, when I feel frightened during sleep and I have called on Jesus when I had oppressive dreams, it stabilizes how I feel, I have confidence calling on Jesus name.

Mine has reduced but let me share a recent experience with you. One evening before I went to bed, I decided to wash my dirty white singlet and hung it above the shower rail in the bathroom. I usually switch off the light before sleeping but this time I could detect if the light switch was turned on or off because NEPA refused to do the needful. Out of fatigue, I left the bathroom door open and went to bed which is opposite to the door but extreme end of the room.

I don't know how long I have slept, but suddenly felt a cold breeze with eolian sound. I opened my eyes but couldn't move all I could see was a very bright blue cloud with an angel carrying a sliver trumpet. I forced myself to fly up but I couldn't. RAPTURE is here. I was still in fear of making heaven when I finally gained conscious.

Haa. NEPA is at work again. OX standing fan rotating at its highest speed; the white light in the bathroom illuminating the terracotta bathroom blue tiles on the wall and the singlet looks like an angel with the shower hose head looking like trumpet. I realized it wasn't RAPTURE after all just some sleeping paralysis grin

I had this a lot. Like, every damn night. Mine usually starts with dreaming that I am in the same room I slept in. Sometimes, a kid will come in through the locked door. Just different rubbish o. I am also a king of Lucid dreams. But my worst dream thus far was when I dreamt about some people picking accident victims to go and bury. They where all covered with white clothes and red blood stains. They were morethan a hundred. The worse thing was that, I woke up upto 7 times that night. The dreams continued from exactly where it stopped each time I wake Up and Sleep back. I couldn't tell anybody. Nothing related to that happened afterall

I thought I was special and someone was trying to steal my glory. My pastor then wasn't also helping matters always talking about how witches steal people glory. I stop having it when I stop fearing it when I realised I was just another person in an ocean of 7 billion people, I wasn't special, nobody really cares about me.
