Valentine’s Day, Friday 14 February 2020. It was a night of glitz and charm, as Nollywood met Ghanywood and the very best of diaspora foreigners came to be counted at the maiden edition of The Ethnic Business Awards. The event was held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

Pun Communications, an A-list public relations company, organisers of the event have done the unprecedented. It is perhaps the only company that has organized an event to celebrate foreigners who have made Nigeria their home for many years. These institutions/individuals have created value to the socio-economic development of Nigeria. They have brought foreign direct investments, created jobs, established factories, engaged in commercial activities and have also given back to their communities.

The organisers were very specific about the criteria for the awards; outstanding performances in brand visibility, impressive sales, popularity, sponsorships, employment opportunities and corporate social responsibility. Also, an award was given to the community that had demonstrated peace and unity in the country.
