Mercenaries are business men. So why do you think they will work to end the war?

Some people want to drain Nigeria.

God forbid. those foreign contractors would not seek to end it, but maximize profits. If we can't deal with this internally, then we're doomed.

Mercenaries have not loyalty.

We need these foreign contractors to deal with ISWAP...
These guyz are battle hardened...
With modern tech to fight day and Night....
And air support...
Most of them fought during the Apartheid era and
most regional conflict in Africa...
Read about the 72 Mobile Strike Force....
Buhari actually made a mistake to terminate their appointment...
All those service chiefs are already billionaire from military contracts...

Executive Outcomes drove out the RUF rebels from Freetown in 2 weeks. The key is to offer them milestone-oriented payments. You achieve this, you get this.

The former South African Defence Forces and the Israelis are very good at this. If they are brought in, Boko Haram will cease to exist in a month.

Boko Boys during GEJ period...
Nig Army is yet to achieve that simple feat

The proposal hasn't even gotten to the President's table yet it is out in the open. The PMC are needed for training not combat.

If I had time I will create a real news agency. REAL

The amount of sly and misleading headlines are too much!

There is absolutely no correlation in this article between Private Military Contractors and DHQ. That there is increasing interest from global security firms at the strong business opportunity to invest in an unsecured Nigeria doesn't prove DHQ is under pressure

Rather, it is an article meant to pressure DHQ into considering Private Military Contractors for security ops

Mehn undecided

Is there not a need for military contract? The incompetence and maladministration of our military chiefs stink. Tribal, religion and ethnic sentiment has handicapped tactics and strategies to defeat insurgency...
No country runs a nation or business the way Nigeria is being run presently. It's only some sycophants like Lauretta and the likes that see no wrong in this present administration.
So disgusting....

Tacit admission of Nigeria's failed status.... when key institutions have stalled. This government has run key security institutions into the ground for reasons best known to them. Look at General Tarfa's House burnt. Just sad.

Nigeria is irredeemable!

Which useless treasury? How has it benefited you? Have killed your politicians for the ones they steal every day?. If there's security, you can comfortably and confidently engage in worthwhile ventures and make money for yourself, unless you're a lazy hausa/fulani Jihadist

When ex president Goodluck Jonathan did it and was winning the war, one useless idiot from daura came and stop it just because he wants to release his colleagues from detention. Now that the tide is turning against him he want to go back to Goodluck Jonathan's good plan.

Most of the countries named here that the so called mercenaries operate are failed state. Govt should channel such money for that in creating state and local police to police our country. Can we for ones think of the future instead of waisting money on immediate palliative

Had anyone seen this movie...White House Down

If Yes, then you shld understand how Buhari and his goons are about to milk the Naija cow dry
White House Down doesn't bear any resemblance to the milking conspiracy you just put forth, the nearest movie I can think of, which does is The Gunman (2015) starring Sean Penn

when are we going to hear that Buhari said? we only hear Buhari said from abroad, does it mean that Buhari become deaf and dumb whenever he's in Nigeria and become vocal when he travel. we need to bring that clown in public and ask him some deep fact about Nigeria as president. i now believed Nigeria have 4 president, Aba keyari, Buratai, magu, and muguno. no wonder grass cutter ask who is the president that suspend him, and in other for the north to keep secret about Buhari he gentle obey Osibanjo and leave aso lock.
