3 Reasons Why Barcelona Are One Of The Worst Administrated Club In The World by Counceller1: 9:14pm On Feb 23, 2020
Barcelona used to be a club that held pride in how well they were administered. It wasn’t long ago when they were enjoying their golden period under Pep Guardiola and the best part about it was the fact that most of the players in that team were academy products.

Now, however, various reasons have led to Barcelona have become one of the worst administered clubs in the world – and here are three reasons why

1. Lack of Goodwill

When the director of the club openly accused the players of lacking commitment and then the captain of the side disagreed with him and also openly replied back at the very same director, it would be safe to assume that there is a severe lack of harmony at that club.

At Barcelona, Eric Abidal openly blasted the Blaugrana players, which prompted Messi to hit back. The whole ordeal could have been avoided if Abidal made himself clear behind the scenes.

It is a sign of a club going through its worst phase – a club that is being poorly run from top to bottom and behaving like everything is just fine

2. No Confidence in their Academy

This might be because of the biggest reason for the Blaugrana current situation. In the past, when similar issues like occur, Barcelona would probably take a player from the youth academy who would have been chosen to replace the injured Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele when the need arises.

However, Barcelona now lack confidence in their academy, so much so that they decided to let go of Carles Perez and Abel Ruiz in the January market. Even if Dembele returned to fitness without relapsing, Abel Ruiz’s departure made no sense at all since he could have provided adequate cover for Suarez but the Blaugrana let him go instead.

3. Awful (shocking) Administration

The signing of Martin Braithwaite has landed a lot of debate for the Catalans. They signed a player out of the transfer window and have, in the process, put a serious impression on the hopes of the club fighting their way out of relegation.

This signing was absolutely unnecessary when you consider the fact that Luis Suarez had been injured when the window was open and that they could have been proactive in the market instead of being reactive during the competitive season in a league that calls itself ‘the best football league in the world’
