Very annoying seeing the request when they should be seeking for more intelligent gathering gadgets to enable crime prevention, attaching camera to every police vehicle & men on duty for checks to reduce the current animalistic behaviours. Restricting the use of riffles to men at the war areas like the Northeast while those on regular patrol go on sidearms.

I fully agree with the ig, and I'm happy to hear a detailed request and not just request for money.

The federal government should now tell us if they can afford all this or not . Nigeria is too big for the current police force we have. Ditto the rest of the armed forces.

This is what I have been saying for years. Unless we find a way to up our security spending and proper management, we will continue to have security issues,

South Africa of 50 million people had an annual security budget of 5 billion dollars. Nigeria of 200 million people is 2 billion dollars! Isn't that ridiculous?
