Sit down and be ready for thy journey is long and weary.
C++ is what most consider the language of a real software engineer, check sites like stackoverflow, techopedia or quora and you notice a big bulk of software engineers (not baby coders ) are C++ programmers. As a beginner you will struggle with concepts of C++ such as pointers, memory addressing and dynamic memory allocation, templates, etc.. In fact most beginners will find it virtually impossible to write a simple GUI in C++.

Unlike languages such as python and JS (which I consider a mess) most of these languages don't have such abstract concepts as C++ does and don't offer the level of control C++ does.
As a beginner you won't be able to write or design any snarky thing just yet asides say simple CMD applications (which I bet will have a very poor program flow and structure)but overtime with more experience you can really do anything such as write OSes, DSLs, Mobile/Desktop apps, Network protocols, Frameworks, Game engines, even websites if u fancy....
Most modern frameworks, you use are written in C++ or C such as Flutter, etc.
Popular encryption and authentication protocol such as TCP/SSL are implemented in C++, likewise most game engines and browser engine such as google chrome were written in C++. A ton of python libraries and frameworks including those used in AI/ML were written in C++.

So roll up your sleeves and get ready for the task ahead. Don't be discouraged by your friends who you might see writing fanciful nonsense. Being a C++ guru would take years but it pays more than any other.

Well analysed, but calm down which one is fanciful nonsense again, u dey para oo grin grin, c++ learning curve is very steep though but worth it.
