Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV
Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: [2] But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Bros God is no longer hiding his face.

In the scripture you are quoting... God didnt have children at that time. Now he has, we are his children through Jesus, so pls understand it.

He does not relate with us like the old testament, but like a father to his children and the prodigal son story is the simplest explanation of the Gospel.

Kindly understand that a Parent does not hide from a dirty child.... Else that parent is irresponsible

God didnt hide His face. God doesnt hide His face, it was sin that hid the face of God. Even the same Isaiah 59:2 referenced by davidinchrist, states: "... your sins have hidden His face from you... "

Well, while it's true that there are a lot of differences between the old (Moses) and new covenant (Jesus), yet God's standard Remains the same: particularly when it comes to Sin or Disobedience. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
*He told people to go and Sin no more, otherwise worse things would happen to them.
*He says if we do not bear fruit, we get cut off and burned. John 15:6
*Paul said, he would certainly be cast way if he wouldn't discipline or control himself after preaching the gospel.
*David-- the Psalmist said, 'if I regard sin in my heart the Lord won't hear me'.
The Father will reject us if we walk in darkness, and refuse to Repent. 2 Cor. 6:16

1 John 1:6 KJV
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Hebrews 10:26-27 KJV
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

May Jesus Bless You

Right, the story of the prodigal son is a part of the true gospel; however, let's not forget that if he keeps looking back, he would never be fit for God's kingdom either.

Luke 9:62 KJV
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
