You are responding emotionally not rationally to that dude. He brought up serious points, there is a reason recently most countries quarantines everyone on a ship if one single person is sick. The incubation period should be accounted for once a person is suspect.

Also someone in the screenshot above said he came in from Germany and was not screened. Obviously the government is trying but more needs to be done especially in educating people.

Haven't they heard that symptoms do not indicate the presence or absence of the virus. For a virus thst incubates for anything up to a month this is useless. Just ban travel from affected zones. They açcepted a flight from a hotspot. What did they expect. No flight from Southern Europe and South East Asia for now, period. There is no economic activity that is worth the risk. What stupid work was the Italian coming to do.

The concept of self quarantine is laughable, very naive, stupid, senseless and total lack of understanding of the consequences of such an advice/action.

Well the fact that an individual doesn't show symptoms at the time of landing doesn't mean they are or aren't carrying the disease as it has being stated times without number that the disease has an incubation period of two weeks. Therefore someone who wasn't sick last week can become sick this week. The only way to know out-rightly if a patient is carrying the disease is by testing them in a laboratory. So think, How many thousands of people coming into Nigeria can be taken to the laboratories to be tested daily ? The only way of avoiding the disease is by placing a ban on flights from countries where high infection rates have being announced or recorded, which i think Italy wasn't one of them.
