In the 90s, I remember year 2000 was promised by Government as one where there will be facilities and education for all. The goal post was later shifted to year 2020 when it was clear 2000 came too fast and nothing was achieved. According to Wikipedia, a part of the vision states: “By 2020 Nigeria will be one of the 20 largest economies in the world." We are in 2020 now and it's not better compared to the 90s. 2050 may not be much different from today because things mostly remain the way they are. Where is vision 2020??... Just thinking. |
