Lackadaisical Attitude Of Some Health Centres In Lagos by Ladyprenuer(f): 10:37am On Mar 01, 2020
Goodmorning dear NLs
Please I need help on a particular issue, concerning the health care system in this country of ours.
There is this particular health centre in Ojo area of Lagos that is very lackadaisical with work.
First they gave out wrong immunization dates for babies and all they could say is sorry. To make matters worse all those babies have to wait till 2 weeks time to collect this immunization which they are due for already. (This is not the 1st time they are giving out wrong dates)
Secondly the nurse in charge of giving out the immunization uses just ONE pair of glove for ALL babies. Mind you every mother buys glove at a fee of 100 naira (even though these facilities are provides for them FOC). They sell it and still won't use it for the babies.
The fact that nothing happens to these babies doesnt make it right.
What can be done to put them in order?
Who are the right authorities to report these situation to?
I won't mind if there is a phone number to call too.

One nurse is not doing right and you have lumped the whole health system with lalastical abi lackadaisical attitude......calm down!
A lot of health workers sacrifice so much and you should give health workers credit.

There's always a contact of the MD of the centre or chief matron and you will find that contact at the gate board most times.Check it out and you can call the MD, secretary or matron.

Your headline is misleading though. Some clinics are just baby factory in disguise. grin grin grin

Well...you're living a third-world country that thrives on corruption and stupidity. So what were you expecting...

Modified. I get your point and I give kudos to the hard workers. Especially to the sacrificial ones out there. But what can be done to these category of people. Because am sure it happens in some other places like that.
Its a primary health centre hence no phone numbers outside or anywhere in sight.

You can ask for the chief matron when next you go there.
