This is a woman who was born, bred and schooled in Calabar. She is married to a renowned Dr from Calabar. Her career started in the Ministry of Justice as a State Counsel where she rose to become the DPP (Director of Public Prosecutions). From there she was appointed a Judge of the State High Court.
She is known for her humility, fairness and good judgment.

Where did she go wrong? Where do you think her loyalties are?

A lot of us have female daughters or will have one, is this how we will want our daughters to be treated paraventure they marry from another tribe and rise through the ranks of their careers there?

We are been told the law makers were given 500k to vote against her, is that how cheap they are? Are they that poor? 500k?

This is pure evil

She is not his choice candidate.

Each CRHA member is alleged to have collected 500k from the Gov to deny her confirmation.
it's the national judicial council that nominate judges not the governor so he has no choice...

Wetin concern ayade and buhari? I thought that the assembly has started screening the acting state cjn? Anyway, the truth is that the woman is from akwa ibom though married to a cross river man and because of her origin, there are attempts to frustrate her just like it was done in kebbi state

He does, politically.

We have had situations where the NJC will recommend and the Gov will refuse to swear in.

Amaechi after defecting to the APC, refused to swear-in the recommended CJ.

Nnamani in Enugu state, also refused to swear in the NJC-recommended CJ.

It's bad, very bad politics..but that's where we find ourselves.

the njc has to stand their ground like they did in abia when a judge not recommended was sanctioned... except the woman has another skeleton she must be sworn in... ayade can go to hell

Her tenure in Acting capacity ended today, yet she hadn't been sworn in. Technically, CRS has no CJ.

We hope the NJC can listen to you.

The argument against her person is that she is from Akwa Ibom state even though she is married to a Cross Riverian and her mom is a Cross Riverian. She has worked all her life in Cross River and paid taxes.

Ethno-religious sentiment is the bane of our present day society...

No doubt, the Governor is complicit in the obvious delay in confirming her.

What sort of fvckery is this?

She’s not from cross river and her mom is from the state? ? But Nigerians that only their mothers are from the UK are reaping benefits that people born of both UK parents are reaping over there in the UK?

As long as her mother is from the state she’s also from the state.

Damn, the black race in Africa is cursed.

bro i have stayed in these 2 states, yes akwa ibom is carved out of cross river/ its easy for akwa ibom to get post in cross river but a cross river indigene can never get a sensitive post like chief judge of akwa ibom or any political. i can bet my 2 balls on this. i know these people so well. all the ndito ekpo in these 2 states dont joke with me when ever i land any of those states
Lol you know us more than we know ourselves? Wonderful. She's married to a Cross riverian to she's a Cross riverian by marriage. Did all her growing up and work in calabar, so she's very qualified man. Even igbos have held positions in aks government, is it now Cross river that won't hold POS. Like I said it goes deeper than u think, as indigiene I'm telling u confidently that this woman case goes deeper than being from Akwa Ibom as many Akwa ibomites are currently in CRS government and heaven has not fallen, so rest

The NJC cannot enforce, if the Assembly does not swear in.

well except a petition to prove why the woman can't be chief judge then another person can't be made chief judge so there ll be judicial lacuna in cross river then...

That's what Ayade will prefer, which is bad.
