The students of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Delta State on Monday, March 3rd protested the decision by the school management to defer the admission of students who are unable to pay their school fees after eight weeks of resumption.

The school management increased it tuition from #80,000 and #37,500 to #120,000 and #47,500 respectively for fresh students and old students respectively and pegging the acceptance fee at #65, 000 from #45, 000 penultimate 2019.

However, the school has given her students an ultimatum of two weeks to pay up their fees or have their admission deferred irrespective of the level. Hence, the students union government government ably led by Comrade Eseoghene Choice, members of his cabinets and every other well meaning comrades in a swift reaction protested against the management's decision.

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Delta State which was established in 2007 is the first Petroleum university in Africa and the 6th in the world. It is currently the most expensive federal university in Nigeria.
