Supreme Court Update: Tanko Stands Down Ihedioha's Application till 3pm, Uzodinma Argues No Merit

The hearing of the heavily anticipated case is ongoing in the Supreme Court of Nigeria as Ihedioha's lawyer has laid down the facts.

Ihedioha's lawyer Chief Kanu Agabi has laid down his argument that the judgement is marred with fraud as the addition of the votes of 388 poling units to Ihedioha rises the votes beyond the accredited number of voters by 129,000 people. He also tenders evidence from Inec and urges the court to review it's judgement to purge it of errors.

However, Mr Damian Dodo, lawyer to Uzodinma has argued that the application to set aside the judgement of the court is incompetent and lacking merit, intentionally using the same words used by the court to describe the Bayelsa application.

Mr Dodo also argues that the court does not have the right to sit to review it's own case unless some typographical error was found or clerical errors which he argued are not present in this scenario.

The Supreme Court has stood down Ihedioha's application till 3pm today when it is expected that the Apex court will give it's ruling.
