So, I found this interesting article from 2017', but which is still relevant today in 2020'.

EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
The Devil Can't Curse What God Has Blessed!

How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?
— Numbers 23:8

I want to share with you about an interesting character in the Bible who actually tried to curse God’s people. He attempted unsuccessfully to do it multiple times — which proves that the devil cannot curse what God has blessed ! The example of Balaam shows that witchcraft, divination, and curses simply have no impact on people who are walking with the Lord.

Who? Who and what charm?
Never heard of the guy. Is he a voodoo priest/native witch doctor?
The guy in the picture above?
So how did you recover when this guy did that to your family?
Do you live in constant fear of him cause of what he did to your family?

As for me and my entire family:

Genesis 39:5 (KJV)

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

All it takes (more oftentimes than not, in a household) is one person committed to Christ, sincerely praying daily, and living a life acceptable to Him....the blessings, favor and protection flow and wax strong.

Yes sir, I absolutely live each and every day in the real world....and can see clearly.

BUT
Newsflash: The devil has lost the WAR!

Revelation 20:1-4, 10 (KJV)

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years

THE FINAL END OF SATAN'S REIGN

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever

It's "ma'am".....
Why are you so pressed about my topic here?
This message is for followers of Christ.
Anyhoo and again, I am not blind so I can clearly see most of the list you created...except the "ritual killings" since I do not live there.
Sin must run its course unfortunately....
The above are all effects of sin on a temporarily "broken" planet.

Matthew 24:6-8 (KJV)

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

2 Timothy 3 (KJV)
[i]
3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts
,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth
.]i]

I know that would please you, but I cannot discard the Holy Bible...my blueprint for life here on earth and for eternity.
The book that basically describes everything on your list.
Yes, not only do I have the audacity to say and believe it 100 percent by faith, but I also say that The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel has already won the great controversy!

2 Thessalonians 2:11 (KJV)

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

You are walking down a dangerous road Mr.Jay.
You are in errror.
I just hope one day you will surrender to Him before the door of probation closes for you.

you do know that there has been such "sin" since biblical days, right? when exactly will it run its course?!

btw: doesnt you holybook states that:
Matthew 7:7-8
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened"
....are you telling us all (intelligent people) that none of you xtians prayed for peace in the world?! none of you xtians prayed for no more sin/immorality/hunger/famine in the world? none of you xtians prayed for no more suffering in this world?! really?!?!?!?!

Mr.Jay,
Apology accepted...no problem.
I think you like to debate because you clearly skipped over where I said i am not blind....and can see clearly the state of the world.
I understand your rage towards God because of sin's destruction on this planet.
You're angry at God.
But instead of you humbling yourself, seeking His face, and venting your anger to Him, you instead choose to go to the other extreme:
Deny His existence, degrade, mock and insult the entire religion because of some fanatical people within it, and seek to convert others (covertly) to your religion of "non-belief".

I think you may be "book smart", but you lack Godly wisdom..with all due respect.
You have no wisdom because you have no faith.
Faith is not based on the "outcome", but rather God's "ability".
That means I can pray for peace, no more killings, suffering, hunger--which I will do, but the reality is that ALL of those things will continue as long as sin is on this earth.
It doesn't change my prayers for those things to end...or at least reduce.
Even in that, God answers..but it may be in ways that we, "intelligent humans", cannot comprehend.
The ultimate question is, do I choose to still believe (by faith) that an Infinite Creator exists and will do what He has said in His Word even if the curcumstances appear opposite?

I cannot, in my finite mind, explain it all (nor will I try) since I am but a creation of the Creator.
I can only say that "sin" will end when the Lord returns and finally destroys it.
I hope you decide one day to try God...and see who He is sir.

Cc: Dasani

so what you are claiming is that:
- ALL the xtians who go to church every week praying for a better life (but get NOTHING BACK)
- ALL the xtians who go to church every week praying for a good health (but get NOTHING BACK)
- ALL the xtians who go to church every week praying for a peace on earth (but get NOTHING BACK)
- ALL the xtians who go to church every week praying for a miracle in their lives (but get NOTHING BACK)
- ALL the innocent xtians and/or their children who die from diseases, illnesses, hurricanes, car accident, murder etc

all the above didnt do what is "right" in the eyes of your invisible god (if the above is right, and act as a demon, then thats what he should be called)....really?! what happens when these same bastards in robe that you guys follow blindly die on top of oloshos or are murdered. do you also feel the same way, or do you have some fancy explanation for that (a pastor in Ghana was recently beaten to death)?!

Makschinchin:
Only in your life dear, come to Jesus now and be saved

as we can see from churches all over the world, none are being saved and they are all suffering.... aka the demon is winning (unless you wanna claim that the suffering and death all over the lives of these xtians is done by that same invisible god demon of yours?

I think you like to debate because you clearly skipped over where I said i am not blind....and can see clearly the state of the world.
I understand your rage towards God because of sin's destruction on this planet.
You're angry at God.

you almost got it, helas... i can NEVER be mad at "nothing" (aka invisible gods in the sky), but yes , you are right, i am indeed MAD.... i am MAD at how people are being led like donkeys by criminals, MAD at so many innocent people dying unnecessarily due to religion, MAD at deluded religious people looking ddown at anybody who dont worship their god thus attacking others (sometimes with deadly outcome), MAD at the hypocrisy of religious people, MAD at the way that you religious people gladly put you head in the sand while obviously can see that your idea of a good (let alone "good"wink could let so many innocent people suffer on this heart.... and most importantly, i am indeed MAD at all the bastards in robe all over the world who defraud the masses so that they can buy go buy themselves a better life (private jets etc) while you gullible donkeys are now putting your frustration on others who have decided to dismiss any of your invisible god nonsense.

But instead of you humbling yourself, seeking His face, and venting your anger to Him, you instead choose to go to the other extreme:
Deny His existence, degrade, mock and insult the entire religion because of some fanatical people within it, and seek to convert others (covertly) to your religion of "non-belief".

sorry i have something between my ears called A BRAIN, and my parents have raised me to believe that it must be used ALL THE TIME.... but hey, the day you can give me a sound mature intelligent sign that this invisible god of yours exists, then maybe then i could see some sense in what you guys are saying.... until then, this is just a fable of your imagination, at best.

I think you may be "book smart", but you lack Godly wisdom..with all due respect.
You have no wisdom because you have no faith.
Faith is not based on the "outcome", but rather God's "ability".

you mean just as the abilities that we told children that FATHER XMAS has, abi?!
again, some people pray to believe that their lives would be better, others understand and accept that this is how life works (you get some you lose some), while even others create their own imaginary world by turning themselves into whatever BS out there.... the reality is that, each to their own reality, but when you come online to claim ARRANT GIBBERISH nonsense, be ready to have people with brains call you out for the unintelligent lies you are writing. it is very obvious that, if there was an invisible god in the sky, then that person is not better than the devil, as we can all clearly see that whether xtians or atheist, we are all dying from the same disease, illnesses, accidents, crimes... thus confirming clearly that praying DOESNT SOLVE ANYTHING

That means I can pray for peace, no more killings, suffering, hunger--which I will do, but the reality is that ALL of those things will continue as long as sin is on this earth.

so technically, what you are saying is that... the earlier verse i quoted: Mathew 7:7-8 is just a pile of rubbish written to get you people to follow-follow and hoping for miracles that aint there? fair enough....here is another clue for you: stop working, and dedicate your life to your christ... and pray that that same god of yours solves your life issues (mortgage/food etc) and see how this will work out. lol!

I cannot, in my finite mind, explain it all (nor will I try) since I am but a creation of the Creator.

sadly, you religious people are mentally deranged in a way that you believe so strongly that there is an invisible god up there, that you are willing to dismiss the obvious.... and even die miserably trying to defend your mental disorder. we see so many sects created by the "right conmen/guru/clown" today and many people are willing to die and believe any words this bastard in robe is saying. i suggest you educate yourself on the subject, as many of them (branding the exact same holybook of yours) are raping innocent children etc... these are clear demons with a different agenda than your own invisible god, but nevertheless THESE ARE ALL DEMONS YOU GUYS ARE WORSHIPPING

Question: "Can a Christian be cursed? Will God allow a curse on a believer?"

Answer: The Bible tells us that “like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest” (Proverbs 26:2b). This means that foolish curses have no effect. God does not allow His children to be cursed. God is sovereign. No one has the power to curse one whom God has decided to bless. God is the only One able to pronounce judgment.

“Spells” in the Bible are always described negatively. Deuteronomy 18:10-11 numbers those who cast spells with those who commit other acts “detestable to the LORD” such as child sacrifice, witchcraft, sorcery, divination, or necromancy (consulting with the dead). Micah 5:12 says that God will destroy witchcraft and those who cast spells. Revelation 18 describes spells as part of the deception that will be used by the antichrist and his “great city of Babylon” (v. 21-24). Though the end-times deception will be so great that even the elect would be deceived if God did not protect us (Matthew 24:24), God will utterly destroy Satan, the antichrist, and all who follow them (Revelation chapters 19-20).

The Christian has been born again as a new person in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we are in the constant presence of the Holy Spirit who lives within us and under whose protection we exist (Romans 8:11). We do not need to worry about anyone casting any sort of pagan spell on us. Voodoo, witchcraft, hexes, and curses have no power over us because they come from Satan, and we know that “the one who is in you [Christ] is greater than the one [Satan] who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). God has overcome him, and we have been freed to worship God without fear (John 8:36). “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? ” (Psalm 27:1).

Mr.Jay,
Thank you for your contributions on the thread, but I do not want any more of your
"MIS-EDUCATION" here.
It seems harsh, but you are writing very aggressively, angrily, and viciously.
Your rage is extremely apparent, oozing through the screen and a distraction here.
You are not opened to any truth or reasoning and therefore, are creating a hostile environment.
Please feel free to open your own thread and promote your "mis-educations" on it.
Respectfully, I bid you "goodbye" with a blessing of peace and sincere prayer and the hope that you will one day soon surrender your life to Christ.

So why did I, Dasani, choose to open a topic pertaining to the title?
Well, some days ago, I was shocked by an email message from an allegedly "deactivated person" well-known here on Nairaland, who had allegedly rained "curses" on me.
It was sudden and unexpected.
Because the person had just confessed his "love" for me for the 1,000th time.
Then, because of my failure to accept, the "curse" comes....
What got me though, was the person used Psalm109 (complete with my full name dispersed all throughout the passage) to administer the "curse"!
Wow!!
I have never experienced any thing like that before!
It was very easy for me to dismiss it (for multiple reasons), because I do not believe that people can just "curse" anything randomly because they recite something and I know I am shielded by my Lord.
What baffled me, however, was this alleged "professed Christian" by mouth only... used a chapter in the Bible to "curse" someone that he/she was angry without a cause with?!!
Another red flag is when a person claims Christianity, YET questions the deity of Jesus Christ....
I think also that a gentleman on this thread (whom I don't even know, who clearly despises the Lord and refuses to answer to the claims of Christ) tried unsuccessfully to threaten or allude to raining a curse through some false man as well... undecided
Is that, however, the Biblical mandate for followers of Christ?
Do true followers of Christ threaten to harm other followers of Christ?

So I decided to create the thread so that sincere Christians who may wonder what the Lord thinks about this topic will not be afraid if found in this sort of situation.
The Word of God is a two-edged sword...full of power for those who believe.

I unexpectedly came upon the below article while searching for something specific to the topic.
I would have never guessed that the same Psalm used to allegedly "curse" me, was written in the article! Coincidence...I think not.
Please read the article which I will post next.

Cursing Your Enemies the Bible Way: More on how "not" to use the Bible.

We all have people in life that we don't like, don't get along with or simply wish would go away. They are people with whom we may disagree or find that they get under our skin. And we are all probably guilty of sending little wish prayers up that sound something like: "Lord, I would be most grateful if you would ring so and so's neck." Or we might wish that the Lord "would move them on" to another church, job, town, etc. And while we may feel and even pray this way sometimes, we also know that Jesus calls on us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matt 5:44).

But what do we with all of those imprecatory Psalms? You know, the ones where the Psalmist asks God to come down and stomp out the Psalmist's enemies by making their lives hell on earth. I am thinking here of Psalm 109.

6 Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy; let an accuser stand at his right hand. 7 When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayers condemn him. 8 May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership. 9 May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow. 10 May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes. 11 May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor. 12 May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children. 13 May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation. 14 May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out. 15 May their sins always remain before the LORD, that he may blot out their name from the earth.

Pretty harsh stuff from the Bible. You wonder if Jesus had ever read this Psalm when he was giving the Sermon on the Mount. But of course he did. Jesus acknowledges in Matt 5:43-46 that the prevailing wisdom of the day was to love your neighbor but hate your enemy. Jesus calls us instead to love our enemies. So while Psalm 109 may provide us some insights to the way the ancients felt and even expressed themselves to God, it is not necessarily a prayer we should pray. Psalm 109 can help us realize that not everyone in the Bible had feelings of love for everyone, but asking God to kill the children of your enemy does not reflect the cruciform way that we should be viewing all of life.

Which leads me to a recent news article. According to USA Today, there are people who are "praying" Psalm 109 against their enemies. A former Navy Chaplin was sued by an atheist organization who discovered that the former Chaplin was saying the prayer hoping that God would bring harm to the atheist and his organization. The judge in the case, however, ruled that it is ok to recite an imprecatory Psalm, as long as no one actually gets hurt.

I can't comment on the judge's ruling, but I do wonder about people who are asking God to curse their enemies rather than bless them or, if this Chaplin really believes what he preaches, that God would change this man's heart. The article doesn't say, but I wonder how the Chaplin reconciles this with the words of Jesus?

Another example of this type of behavior was also exhibited by the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Kansas. Apparently he was emailing Psalm 109 to his colleagues and commenting that "At last — I can honestly voice a biblical prayer for our president!" Whether or not he agrees with the president's politics, I don't think this exhibits the kind of charity that we are supposed to show to others. Does he really wish that Mrs. Obama would be widowed and her daughters fatherless? Again, is this what it means to exhibit love to others, even those we consider to be our enemies?

I admit, Imprecatory Psalms are a tricky thing for us. They are Psalms that call down curses upon an enemy, full stop. But that does not mean that we have to or should use them that way. There is a lot of stuff in the Bible that we don't or shouldn't apply (Anyone for stoning rebellious children?).
These Psalms remind us that the presence of evil in the world is very real and that it causes untold suffering on many. And they remind us that God is not pleased with such wickedness. But the words of Jesus are the other side of the coin for Christians. We recognize the evil that is in the world and may even experience it. But we also know that we are called to do something even harder than asking God for revenge. We are to love our enemies, and pray for them.
Somehow I am not convinced that is what these other gentlemen are doing.

ma'am, you should have put this thread in romance section so the folks there can discuss it, perhaps someone would have good advice for the person.

i am writing TRUTHFULLY about the demons you guys follow.... without being blinded by religion or some book written by other men thousand of years ago... maybe you should do the same to regain your mind.

the only person who creates a hostile environment are the gullible people who believe in an invisible man in the sky, while praying to fix the world instead of doing something about it. now, one of the bastard in robes you guys follow is even claiming miracle to fix covid-19... charlatans the lot of them.

Sincerely speaking, loving our enemies as commanded by Jesus is not something we can do by our own fallible human effort. We really need to depend on God and His grace to obey this command.

The use if imprecate Psalms shouldn't be encouraged or used anymore since Jesus has already commanded us to love even our enemies. And the Bible says we should give place to wrath and leave vengeance to God that He will repay.

I pray God helps us to obey His word and commands
