OGIC To Build Largest Estate In Ogun by Nobody: 5:17pm On Mar 04, 2020
The Chief Executive Officer of Olageospatial Global Investment Company (OGIC), Olajide Fashina has disclosed the plans of the company in building the largest estate in Ogun state.

Fashina who spoke with newsmen during a road show organised in partnership with Gateway mortgage bank said the dream of the company is to make housing affordable for the people of the state.

The CEO explained that there is an ongoing project by the company known as City of David Estate, Obada-Oko, Abeokuta which would provide housing for the residents of the state at a lower cost.

He noted that the estate would be the largest in the state and would have world class infrastructure and basic amenities.

The OGIC CEO further said the residents especially civil servants, security agents, and others who enrolled in the federal mortgage bank would be beneficiaries of the project.

He also explained that the residents can benefit in the project through the national housing fund scheme.

He stressed that the loan would only be a one time payment with six per cent interest rate.

According to him, this is an opportunity to have a house and within six months we will delivered. This is privileged and opportunity that the people must utilise.

He added, "if you don't own where you are living, this is the opportunity to have one. We are giving you an opportunity, to pay and own that building you are paying for at convenient rate for a longer period of years.

"The interest is just once in a life time and it is 6 per cent.

"The partnership with gateway mortgage bank would make us build the largest estate which would be second to none in this Ogun state.

"We are committed to that and a lot of our foreign partners from Russia, Cech Republic have shown interest in joining us so that the interest can go as low as possible."

Speaking on the importance of the road show, Fashina said it is meant to sensitise the people on the opportunity the company is offering them in partnership with gateway mortgage bank.

He added, "the road show is what we are having with our finance partner, gateway mortgage bank.

"The road is to sensitise the public on opportunities to get affordable housing using the National Housing funds.

"The funds is basically for civil servants, Customs, Immigration, Force people and every public or other private institutions which have enrolled with federal mortgage bank can now have their own room.

"OGIC has promised to provide a good environment that people can live, we are coming with a lot of infrastructure and providing basic need like street light, good road network among others in the estate.

"The beauty of is that there is no need in renting apartment again, the money you pay for rent can be used on this because you will be given upto 30 years and we all know that any place you pay rent more than 10 years is as equal as you build the place."

OGIC is a multi purpose company that is into real estate, construction, survey, private security, among others.

In his remark, the Vice Manager of the gateway mortgage bank in Abeokuta said the initiative would help the less privileged in the society to own a house.
