It was learnt that the fight broke out during a debate on the report of the Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Ant-Corruption Commission.

Aminu Ado Bayero has been named the new emir of Kano, replacing Muhammadu Sanusi, who was dethroned a few hours ago.

Abba Anwar, chief press secretary to Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano, disclosed this in a statement.

Take it to the bank,Rimi and Ganduje are both Fulanis. This is coming from someone whose great grandma was a pure Fulani with roots in Augie Kebbi state.

I don't know about Rimi but Ganduje is a pure Hausa man. No fulani has ruled Kano state since 1999. Hausas hold and guide the political power there jealously. A very wrong misconception that many Southerners have about northern Muslims is the belief that they are all fulanis. Hausa are majority in the north. Fulanis are just a noisy minority. Even Aliko Dangote that many think is a fulani is actually an Hausa man. Kano state is the melting pot of the hausa people.
