Quite interesting the security services we have in Nigeria! The other day when hussain took out osama the friend of sunusi it was done under the cover of darkness and the disposal of his corpus was even more covert! You conduct ops that should ideally be covert and you leave digital footprints all over the internet - one wonders what they learnt at The Foreign Services Academy!

*TRIBUTE TO DEPOSED SANUSI LAMIDO BY ALH. KUNLE SANNI*

I am a friend to SLS since his MSSN days. Even if Abdullah Ganduje the naive Governor of kano state did not remove him, with his radical approach to life and the power bestowed on our Governors by the constitution one Governor one day would still remove him.

SLS is one of the most cerebral, dynamic, creative and intelligent minds in this country.

Unfortunately when Allah was distributing diplomacy he wasn't around. He is blunt to a fault and ventilate his strong opinion without caring whose ox is gored.

Today is a sad day for me when I reflect what Islam and the populace would lose without a sagacious and intellectually endowed person like SLS
When Sharia was introduced in Zamfara and kwankwanso acting the scripts of Obasanjo was fidgety to follow suit, SLS wrote an article that was an advertorial in many newspapers. He lambasted the erstwhile Governor for not being sensitive to the yearnings of the people of kano who cherishe their Islamic heritage. SLS was then a General Manager at UBA where Kano state Government had substantial lodgement. Kwankwanso asked UBA to sack SLS or lose their lodgement in UBA

The management of UBA appealed to SLS to apologise to the Governor but instead of apologising he resigned his appointment as a General Manager in the Bank. Immediately he left UBA he was offered the post of Executive Director in First Bank from where late Yar'adua appointed him as Governor of central Bank .It is on record that he stabilised our Banking system and got rid of the bank executives who were feeding fat on depositors Funds. It was his fertile brain that created AMCON that allowed investors with beautiful ideas to have access to funds without much hassles. It was after Sanusi's exit from the central bank that AMCON was bastardised and investors started buying private jets from the AMCON loan.

When he resumed at the Central Bank, he criticised the big emoluments of the National Assembly saying it was not sustainable. The National Assembly were furious and invited him asking for apology. He refused telling them they can sack him because his father's name was not GOVERNOR OF CENTRAL BANK.
When he finished with the National Assembly he accused the Jonathan administration that there was a twenty billion short fall of oil money remittance to Federal purse. He came with incontrovertible evidence of kerosene sale racketeering by top government officials that went into billions of naira. He prognosticated that if oil price should go below sixty dollars Nigeria would go into recession and his prediction was proved right at the end of the day . His criticism of the theft of oil sales led to his sack against the constitutional provision by president Jonathan. By Allah's providence and against Jonathan's Government's position he became the Emir of kano.

The radicalism in his blood would not make him appreciate that there is need for diplomacy in royalty. He was not comfortable with what he regarded as the lack luster performance of Ganduje and he publicly campaigned against his second term. Immediately Ganduje won his immediate agenda was to remove Emir Muhammad Sanusi from power. Many spurious and unsubstantiable allegations were put on his neck.

When all the committees set up to remove him were hampered by court actions Ganduje decided on a kangaroo move which culminated in the removal of the 13th Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi the second today . That was the same fate that befell his grandfather in the regime of late Sir Ahmadu Bello late premier of the then Northern region.

Definitely the last has not been heard of the Emir of kano saga. We expect a lot of legal gymnastics. The erstwhile Emir would definitely fight back since he was not given a fair hearing.

Today is a sad day for all lovers of justice in this country

Ganduje will surely pay for this

this is man that boldly raises concern about the almajiris system, high illiteracy in the North, over population in the North, same man that fought hard to liberate the mind of his people from religion captivity by questioning into the central dogma of his people belief, under his reign as an emir, religion crisis was curbed in Kano . it is a pity that anybody that take attempt to liberate the North will end up being victimised. the political class has used religion as a weapon to gain total control of the mind of the masses.

No be lie.
Sanusi usually says the truth & gets in trouble for it. He did during the 2008 financial crisis when he sniffed out fraudulent banks, he did when he publicly called out stealing in Jonathan's government.
Oga Sanusi himself is a fraud and part of the problem and the ruling class causing problems in this country

I laugh when I see Buharis goons and Tinubu playing stupid and fucked_ up politics in the name of dealing with someone. You are stealing money and you want everyone to know that it is legal. And yet, Nothing can be Done. I finally give up on Nigeria.
Check out some of the people Buharis government is victimizing, one way or the other, they are called for good positions overseas. See Jona, See Okonjo Iweala, Very soon e go shock una, Sanusi will be given international appointments and he would laugh best ... as I see him laughing last already.

Time to get my passport once again and fine another country to go to. Fulani, Gandollars and their smelling politics has messed up my nation. Sometimes, regret being a nigerian is the only and only option that comes to mind.... I wish it was not so. Nigeria is the most corrupt nation in the world as it stands!

SLS offense is telling them to give every children the right to education, butbtheu felt that should they do this, in no time these children will be educated to ask why money that belong to all is spent by few

SLS offense is, soon there will no more almajiris should every child goes to svhhol, so they can't instigate them to kill their self, with lies that 72 virgins awaits them

SLS offense is that, should every child gets educated they can't tell them what to do during jumat....

Sooner or later truth will come out...

God bless Nigeria.

Wake up. Nigerian Politics is not between the Political Class and Power.. It is the Politics of the Politicians Against the People.

This people will settle their feud lounging in Bahamas while we will be here praising all the thieves (All Political Class regardless of party and affiliations)

Even Sanusi knows he is evil. The thousands of bankers who lost their jobs when Sanusi Lamido forcefully took over healthy banks will not rest until Sanusi goes six feet under the soil. He is now stripped nakked and on the ground, but he is going six feet under to meet his father Lucifer.

What goes round comes round. He conspired with Saraki to steal intercontinental bank. He had to do it as gratitude to saraki for helping him become central bank governor.
These are people who never built any successful enterprise in their life time. They conspired to steal a bank built from scratch to success and plunge many family into sorrow. The entrepreneur behind the bank is in deep agony and stress. One by one they will all get served.

Nice1..this is second sensible comment am seeing on this tread..as a royal father he should had maintained a neutral position instead of declaring support for an opposition candidate while you are still eating under the incumbent governor.. Who does that? I feel for him anyway but there is no permanent friend and enemy in the of game of politics..as for gandollar power is temporal and posterity will always judge.
babamadiba:
I really feel for him. He should have played the role of a father instead of openly supporting one politician over another. His dethronement was a show of power. Ganduje proved to him that he has more power than him a the governor. It is well.

Yeah, by lying that it was $50BN and later changed to $20BN even when an audit by KPMG found out that such never happened.

Haven't events overtaken this your claim? Jonathan's government is over and SEVERAL people are in court or have been imprisoned, even in the UK and US, because of all the stealing that went on.

Sanusi was OBVIOUSLY correct about that.

There is something about GEJ. Everyone that benefitted in his govt that later joined these monsters in the current government to remove him are receiving the best reward.

Number one is Atiku, Saraki, Dino, Orjiuzor Kanu, now Sanusi and others

All these people joined force to put us in darkness but nemesis has catch up with them.

When you fight a man that carry grace unjustly, his grace will disgrace you and that is the position of all these men.
