When you are very convinced in something, nothing anybody does will bother you.

I think I like his courage already.

With this kind of mind, anybody can achieve anything

Why don't we have history classes in our schools anymore?

So sad for the present generation.

Yes, you can achieve anything with such courage. This one achieved dethronement and exile. What a great achievement!!!

HISTORY, even in Primary School, will EXPOSE how FULANI OPPRESSORS were selling four Hausa youths in exchange for one Arab horse. This can cause REVOLUTION in Nigeria.

because there are some serious truths they don't want us to know and which may set all of the country in serious unrest. One of them may even likely be the biafra struggle and the aburi accord, and many more.

There’s nothing intellectual about that response.
He was angry coz he was pushed out of the security of the palace. Facing the uncertainties of life are what 98% of average Nigerians were/are facing, so he’s not different. He’s a human!
He wasn’t appointed the Alaafin to face the certainties of life!!!

Seriously though Kings can't be partisan!
It's just stupid
Imagine the queen of England being member of the labour / conservative party
Your job as a king is to draw development to the town no matter which party wins

That's what we the current youths (igbo/Yoruba) of this generation have been made to believe and we find joy in fuelling it and thereby making ourselves look foolish to the north thinking we are doing ourselves good but it's the surest part to self destruction of the southern unity.........just imagine what this man must have told his children back then and what we the present youths will tell our children.

Don't judge by NLanders comments.
It's just a way to catch fun...

I have never seen any clashes between Yoruba and Igbo both in SW and SE...

Yorubas have clashed with Hausas
Igbos clashed with Hausas..

Hausas are our common enemy.
But we (both East and West) failed to realize that because of individual Interest

His offence was supporting Zik and NCNC.
Awolowo truly brought tribalism into Nigerian politics.

So Awolowo banished a whole Alaafin in 1955 because of love for NCNC and Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe an Omo Ibo?

Another historic truism learnt and bookmarked.

We are getting to know how tribalism started in this country.

Does it matter? Was he the only old person in Nigeria then?

so he has no right to be angry with "destiny" if he was disposed at his old age, when he cant work anymore... its like forcefully taking out someones pension and gratuity and you ask him not to get angry

in case you still cant comprehend his intellectual statement

he isn't angry at awolowo
he doesn't regret supporting Azikwe
he is just angry at his own destiny (ayanmo or Ori) for making him go back to the street at old age when he cant labour anymore

Many great Yoruba men had sacrificed a lot for this people called Ibo only for them to turn around and insult the kind gesture , Herbert Macaulay a Yoruba man practically trained and raised Azikwe, even Ojukwu grew up in a Yoruba neighborhood and his first major visit to the east was when he decided to rebel against his rich father, Ojukwu's Yoruba friend fought with him in his Biafra civil war but yet he still found a way to pay them back evil, kill them and call them betrayers infact it was a Yoruba officer that decided to send Ojukwu on an officers training as he barely came to get recruited into the infantory

And YOUR OWN FACTION of Yorubaland swear to ENSURE that Igbos and Yorubas do not join forces to ESTABLISH functional democracy in Nigeria.

Do you blame our faction? when ibo are literarily I -i B- before, O- others .. after the sacrifice of king adeyemi in 1955, Azikwe got power and filled in the civil service with only Ibos, he even made ibo man the VC of University of Ibadan that we used our cocoa money to build, he almost made western region civil service the birthright of ibos until Awolowo kicked him out to eastern region

Just look at Nairaland owned by a free accommodating Yoruba man, see how you guys insult yorubas freely, can you try that on a website owned by a Fulani?

As far as I am concerned it is Yorubas such as owner of NL that provide the Igbos the leeway to insult the tribe, just like the banished Oba, Herbert, Oyedepo n many others

They with their naivety bring infested wood into the house but the repercussions of their naivety manifest they go underground for the like of Awo Tinubu that were against that evil manipulation to do the dirty work.

Imagine a party gifting an igbo a slot Lagos ?! Is that not the height of foolishness n we have some Yoruba supporting that. On what basis. Oukd that be justified judging from the antagonist this bigoted tribe constituted itself.

Thank God for Tinubu for chasing the bigoted soul to hell from the lagos assembly. No wonder he is so hated by the Igbos.
