Without mincing words, ogun state has returned to its old days of zero development. I will try not to be partisan whatsoever in this piece. Nigeria and Nigerians have accepted mediocrity as a way of life to the extent that any little projects done by the government, we sing their praises forgetting it's their primary responsibility in the first place.

While many elected and selected governors have already commenced their primary responsibilities, some states are being unfortunate with the kind of leadership at their disposal which ogun state is now part of. This current governor understands less or nothing about governance and politics at large. Nigeria politics is way beyond speaking 'big' english, tweeting your round-table meetings with ghost investors etc.

Across the state, there are countless of projects seeking for urgent intervention. Government should be a continuous process whether you start the projects or not so far funds meant for those projects are of the state. As far as I want the governor to succeed, his pace of work is the worst I've seen in ogun state in the last decades. The projects he's embarking on is the standard of LGA projects in Lagos. We need road expansion, urban renewal, palliatives on major roads across the state not street roads the governor is doing.

The governor should forcefully continue from where his predecessor stops. His predecessor has already set a standard and anything below that is a failure in disguise. Ogun state belongs to us all.

Wetin concern Sanusi and being an emir again?

I think Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state will look at this award with envy. He couldn't have done worse as a governor
