Nigerians have mocked former Kaduna Central Senatorial District senator, Shehu Sani for ridiculing himself following tweets criticizing the Buhari administration.

Most of the citizens who responded to him on Twitter said he has become uncontrollably bitter since he was ousted and rejected by the people at the polls during the 2019 election.

Mr Sani has been throwing tantrums on social media since he was arrested by anti-graft agency, EFCC, for receiving bribe from businessman, Alhaji Sani Dauda under the false pretence that the money was meant to bribe acting chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, to arrest and prosecute one Abubakar Musa.

On Monday he tweeted that, “It’s wrong to give multiple Federal Government agencies licenses to establish Radio Stations instead of adequately funding, equipping and expanding the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN. Cutting cost of Governance has just turned to a mirage”.

His position was immediately countered by Nigerians who said he has become too negative in his thinking. Responding to him, Hexane said, “You may be correct but it is too early for criticism, we have not heard from the affected agencies asking for radio licenses, they may have valid concerns.”

Jamil Rabo Abdullah said the new radio stations might help curb the spread of fake news in which Shehu Sani has regularly been accused of. “I don't think it's wrong. Many people have had the privileges to trade fake news on the social media and operational license to these agencies open them to the people and their work.”

In another tweet, he attempted to play down the appointment of the Vice President to oversee the power sector reform. “They ejected my friend from the Economic team to TraderMoni and now to Discos...I hope he doesn’t end up being pushed to chair the repentant BoHa Commission.”

Again his message was met with stiff opposition. Mrs David King replied with, “Shame on you defeated Senator, your friend is out there leading NEC, supervising power reforms, overseeing national economy in line with the law, interacting with ordinary Nigerians regularly and you sit down here on Twitter making noise. Excuse me, who needs the pity. YOU!

Bayo Adedosu ridiculed him for receiving bribe. “You wasted four years in the Senate when you could have been on Twitter trolling. They ejected you from the Senate only to find solace in fraud. You promised to tell us about your $20,000 scam but nothing yet. Be kind enough to fulfill your promise,” he said.

Kazeem Olayinola had a rather short response for the ex-senator. “Senseless and frustrated ex senator at it again.”

Tracy Chels put it more succinctly. “It is more like they give him all the difficult task to execute, something you will never understand because it does not include a transistor,” referring to how he shared transistor radio to his constituents when he was a serving senator.

In White Eagles’ reply to the senator, he wrote, “Mr ex-senator, shoe get size, you and the VP are not at same level, he is way ahead of you, he is more popular than you, what he has achieved in life I’m not even sure that your next generation will achieve it. He has never extorted anyone, he his more educated than you, please find your class.

Sunday George argued that the reward for hard work is more work. “Oga Shehu, Honestly I used to respect you a lot before you became a senator, I am now regretting ever giving you such respect. This is a point of correction, if he has not done well in his previous assignments, he will not be considered for another one, joblessness is a sickness,” he added.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad once described Senator Sani as a blatant liar after he claimed that he knew the CJN and could get him to swing a judgment. In a statement to disown Sani, the CJN said, “Justice Tanko Muhammad has never, in his entire life, seen or had any form of encounter or interaction, either directly or remotely with Shehu Sani, let alone giving him assurances of what is not only unethical but equally despicable and inglorious, to say the least.”

“Let it be known that if the statement credited to Shehu Sani was actually made by him, it is simply a blatant lie, a figment of his imagination and an orchestrated falsehood immodestly concocted to malign, smear and disingenuously tarnish the good image and reputation of the CJN with a view to gaining financial reward.”

The governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir El-Rufai once said that Shehu Sani is unemployable. Writing on Twitter, he said, “Uncertain whether he is good enough to be employed by the Kaduna State Civil Service Commission”, El-Rufai tweeted.

El-Rufai’s son, Bello also had a bite of the cherry. This time he mocked the former senator after he was arrested for bribery. “There are reports that former Senator and current contender for best blogger, ”Comrade“ Shehu Sani has just been arrested by the EFCC operatives on a fraudulent related case. There’s a limit to how deceit under the veil of populism can take you. A leopard and spots.”

Sani’s lying streak and fabrication of falsehood is not restricted to individuals alone as INEC and his former political party, APC had to send out press statements to clarify lies by the former senator.

Leave that empty idiot that call himself Shehu Sani alone let him be ranting thinking he's relevant to Nigerians. He's just a mere stupid blogger.

You can lie to some people all the time
You can lie to all the people sometimes
But you cannot lie to all the people all the time.

Shehu Sani is just finding out the veracity of that adage. He's seeming cloak of wisdom is now only transmitted in bits as small and black as the transistor radios he shared

Shehu sanni is depressed. The case he has with EFCC will surely ruin him and his family. He's trolling because that the way to feigning suppress the depression but he forgot that we have people with great interlects. You don't go around trolling people that are far better than you are. This isn't transistor radio empowerment mentality.

Can anything meaningful come out of Sheu Sabi again? The man who has been rejected by his people. Nothing good was recorded about him as a senator. Sani should just go and settle his case with EFCC.
