The immediate past Chairman of Bayelsa State Volunteers and former Special Adviser to the former Governor, Hon.Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo has admonished the people of the state to rally round and support the newly sworn-in Governor Douye Diri as the government settles down to deliver the dividends of democracy to Bayelsans.

Speaking to a group of Social Media practitioners, the Chairman said, the new government deserves the support of all well meaning citizens given the critical infrastructural needs of the state.

He is optimistic that Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo are men of integrity whose patriotism and love for the people has always motivated them to remain accountable and transparent.

There is no doubt that the duo will build and consolidate on the giant strides achieved by the immediate past Gov. Henry Seriake Dickson and the Restoration government.
