Did Islaam place such embargoes on women? No Pastor: eh, actually apart from that, women must cover their head in Islam and they are subject to their husbands Khadijah: Oga pastor, Allah asks women to cover their selves for honor, respect and dignity. Read in 1st Corinthians 11:3 “ . , The head of a woman is her husband and the head of Christ is God” In the next two verses, 5 and 6 “But any woman who prays with her head uncovered dishonors her head-it is the same as if her head is shaven. For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair, but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil” Samuel: this is becoming hard to understand, pastor talk now; they are quoting our New Testament. Pastor: Mr. Samuel, you see they are not children of God but slaves of God, so they do not understand well Imaam: pastor-but it is the slaves of God that would be successful! Pastor: where? In your Qur’an (laughs mysteriously) Imaam: pastor-may you read by yourself. Romans 6:22 “… but now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the return you get is sanctification and its end, eternal life” Samuel: so we are to be slaves of God and not children? But Muhammad the Prophet(S) cannot save and he is not powerful! Imaam, explain Imaam: you see the prophets of God are His mouthpieces; they only act on His behalf. Look to what Jesus said “I can do nothing on my own authority” John 5:30 and also “…, do not murmur among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him” john 6:43-44 Pastor: but how much do you know of the bible? Do you know that no where in the Qur’an does it say that Muslims will be in Jannah? Imaam: Mr., Jonathan! You lie. The Qur’an in suuratul Zukhruf 43:68-70 mention that Muslims would enter al-jannah and many other places. Mind you, no plan of paradise for Christians by Jesus; for Jesus only said in john 17:24 that he desires that they should enter paradise but it was not approved. Pastor: the bible is a holy book unlike. . . . . Imaam: . . . .(Cuts in) . . . what? The Qur’an? Pastor you see, you have decided to systematically dodge the church embargo on women and many others but I put it to you that the bible is one of the best books of pornography-teaching our young ones evil Pastor: dear Imaam! Don’t blaspheme for what you are saying is untrue Khadijah: when we expose your bible you would know? Look! If someone texts these messages to your wife or female children, what would you say? Pastor: it is moral decadence, absolute behavioral bankruptcy. You see, that is the reason we all need Christ, the bible Imaam: unfortunately, it is that bible you mentioned that contain them Juliana: impossible! Saeed: it is contained in proverbs 7:17-18 and Solomon 4:1-5 Samuel: incredible Imaam: that is just a little, if we expose more, where fathers sex their daughters, sons sex their fathers wives publicly father sex daughter in law, little wonder, Christians do not see these evils as evils Pastor: Jesus has died for our sins. We are forgiven by the blood of Jesus according to Romans 3 and 5 Saeed: on one condition! You must equally accept that you are children of the devil. Samuel: how? Why? In Luke 12:10 we are told that those who abuse the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. In mark 4:11-12, Jesus speaks parables so that non-disciples may not understand and repent; in Matthew 6:14, Jesus said if you do not forgive your brother, God will not forgive you also. So where is the so-called free gift? Saeed: eh en! How! Do you know that part of the original curse you claim the blood of Jesus has cleansed is “.to the woman, God said, I will greatly multiply your pain in childbearing, in pain you shall bring forth children. Yet your desire shall be for your husband and he shall rule over you” Genesis 3:16. So tell me, why do all Christians whether born again or die again still suffer the above despite their belief in the redemptive blood? Or is labor pain spiritual? Imaam: in suuratul furqan 25:63-71, Allah describes characteristics of the believers. a gracious God is Allah. What about Christians? Samuel: true belief and salvation Imaam: you lie; open to mark 16:17-18 “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues; they will pick up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick and they will recover” Oga, which of these signs do you have in your selves? Please do not waste your time, if you wish for more debate, it will continue but for what purpose? The truth is that Allah alone is God and He alone should be worshipped. Muhammad is His Messenger and the seal of all Allah’s Messengers and Prophets. Accept Allah and all your transgressions shall be forgiven you. The Qur’an is Allah’s words, immune from discrepancies. Bear witness to the truth, Samuel, Juliana and pastor! That you accept Allah, for your stubborn continuation o the wrong path will only land you in hell Khadijah: we know that you may be afraid of your job, your finances, popularity and others. In fact my meeting you is a turning point in my life. I have converted many Muslims to Christianity but today I am regretful for it is not conversion but diversion of faithfuls. When I was in UCH, I could remember, they established a General Da’wah Studies Programme to train us but I never took it serious. I always believed that no body can change me from islaam. But see today, for the past 8 years, I and Juliana had become church goers. How do we go back to Allah, I am ashamed,….(falls down crying) Saeed: ah, we still thank Allah, it is not too late! You are lucky, just accept Islaam and take precautions Juliana: can Allah ever forgive us? Ashe, we have been deceiving ourselves. ah, my head, my Hijaab, my salaah! Khadijah: no! @Seyibrown: Please discuss each of the Bible verses with your hubby and then respond to it. Allah is subtle in His affecting the heart, if not sublime. He told Moses to be gentle with Pharaoh, and not harsh as some other book says "let my people go!" May Allah reward the poster and count this as a tremendous effort in his record, taking him on top for Paradise. Amin. Which ones? ! If you are talking about the ones in the OP, I didn't read it, I skimmed through it cos I know what this kind of posts are meant to achieve! He wrote a script for a play and I am not interested in it. A movie producer might be though! For your information, the man who slept with his father's wives was DAVID'S SON! Remember Allah claims to have sent David too! Islam does not give liberation to women, it enslaves them; Infact it enslaves all who practice it and takes away eternal life in God's kingdom from them! Back in 2008, Seun Osewa wrote why anyone who posted anything about Islam could get banned. What I'd like to understand is the primary purpose of the story " Conversion Of Pastor Jonnathan Into Islam". How would you guys have reacted if a christian had written this piece with the title " Conversion of Sheik Hammed to Christianity" and went on to quote verses from the Quran. Because we all belief in what we believe in, pointing out "alleged" errors in other peoples sacred scripts would only draw fire-backs. Why not spend more time in reading a sacred book you belief rather than wasting your precious time on what you don't belief in only for the purpose of drawing out "alleged" flaws. Remember, gone are the days when the Quran was written plainly in Arabic. I'm a Christian and don't even have enough time in my hands to read the Bible as much as i would love to and i wont even spend the little time i have going through the Quran all because I want to come to NL and make gist of the religion of Islam with my fellow Christian brothers. It's not just worth the sweat. History has proved time and time again that you can never win people over using such a strategy. Posting about what you've read in the Quran and how applicable it is to everyday life may convince people to want to know more about Islam and probably convert to the religion of Islam but not in this way. |

oritameta: i dont want to doubt your maturity nor do i question your sincerity.but your words should be directed at your fellow christians.if you go through NL you will find much ignorance and insults.infact the insults and ignorance comes in waves.when one batch goes another comes with the same ignorance to repeat and insult muslims.infact when the muslim presents his case its always based on reason and evidence from the bible.but the christian really goes out of control and the sphere of reason and understanding.he always wants to make others swallow without question or reason. as for preaching,both sides do it.no one can stop that.its only a matter of attitude and the method used. |

@Oritameta: Just to support my brother LagosShia, the christians without reason say that muslims worship a god called allah and they brought out an idol with a moon on its chest to show that they are correct, trying to say it is the moon god called allah? whats correct about it when the idol they brought was found in Palestine, the ancient home of the children of Israel, while everyone and their unborn children know that Islam is against idol worshiping? Whats correct about it when the moon is nothing but a sign of the time (night) and the messenger of Allah split it into 2 as a sign for those who asked for it to see? |

@LagosShia & @Sweetnecta Friends, though our beliefs may differ, yet i think we could still all come to a common ground. While I understand you telling me to tell it to my folks, I want you to understand that I'd never had joined in this discussion, were it posted in the Islam for Muslim Child board section. "Islam for Muslims A forum for Muslims to share their faith. Muslims only please, even the moderators are Muslims. Moderator: Jarus" Believe you me, after reading both your replies, i did try scanning through the religious section (not that many pages though) and I could find one heading with "Any Muslims Who Converted To Christainity?" and how people were giving their reasons for converting to Christianity and read replies by Muslims including that of yours "Sweetnecta". NL has done what was supposed to make the whole thing simple and that is by creating a unique child board for ", Muslims to share their faith, " and leaving Christians to post on the same board with free thinkers and Satanists(you should here what a free thinker has to say about religion to start with). Maybe if NL could only make provision for separate other Child Boards for Christians and others, we wouldn't all keep stepping on each others toes. Also, maybe the gentle man ought to have posted the "Conversion, " thread in the Islam for Muslims child board and not on a floor where many Christians abound. Just maybe no Christians would have read it and none of the insulting words exchanged on this thread would never have had a reason to come to be. Clearly, he must have known such a post will ignite a fire within many Christians not mainly for the title but because of how he structured the content. People who live in a glass house should not throw stones. It might as well have been an unintentional error on his part again. Likewise, should a Christian post things on the Child Board made available to them (& hopefully Seun does something and create a separate Child board for we Christians) no one of Muslim faith would peddle into the Child Board and in that way would not get offended by anything shared on the board. A dirt the eye does not see, the mind does not reason upon. Friends, certainly you know these but I'd like to remind you that it's an impossible task to think people will not always have a thing to say about us, our character and our being. Wikileaks revealing the US diplomatic cables painted US diplomacy as tinted, but in the real world, every institution has an opinion of others. Can one sincerely say the Chinese or Russia have not discussed or painted many US officers with much more cruel words within themselves? If they are as plain as snow with the United States, why was a Russian female spy caught recently in the USA. Or why does China keeps trying to hack into the US security system using private companies, ? How does this relay with the thread you may ask: Christians will always have an opinion just as would Muslims and a free thinker and satanist would, and expressing ourselves is something humans can't do without. However, like someone pointed out in another thread, this is where Civil Decorum should be applied. Let Christians post on a board allocated them without the interference of people of other religions and beliefs and vice versa. How can we change the world as a whole, when we can't take it up from a compact community like NL. Compact I say, because dis is a 9ja's forum. |

@oritameta: my advice to you is to still search the forum well.you will find loads of ignorance,nonsense and insults against islam.like i said,the members throw their ignorance wave after wave.to an extent,i sometimes find myself incapable of replying to every nonsense.just make a thorough search.dont just limit your search to thread titles.search contents as well. i dont think that the issue anyway.the issue in my opinion is the fact that the opener of this thread has done well.he has made his case crystal clear from the bible like any good muslim preacher would do,for instance Ahmad Deedat.Ahmad Deedat was such a champion that christians celebrated his death.they were unable to prove him wrong for even once.i believe the muslims need more like Deedat everywhere around the world.we the muslims ourselves need to be watching and listening and reading the debate and writings of Deedat.it will help us when the bible thumpers come knocking on our doors. |

That line i was hoping you'll comment on. You guys quote passages from the Bible and interpret them as you deem fit. Now, IS WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE NOT GOOD FOR THE GANDER? A critique must expect criticism in return. Now quote me wrong if you can. In this year alone, has there ever been a time when Christians have issued a threat, attacked or killed a Muslim all because such Muslim expresses an opinion on Christianity. Even Seun Osawa, the guy who claims openly to neither be a Christian or a Muslim was threatened by a Nigerian Muslim that a "Fatwa" would be issued on him should he allow Christians (forgetting that not every one that isn't a Muslim is a Christian) keeps discussing controversial Islamic related threads. My point is; Muslims are quick to tell us that the Bible is littered with lies and peddle insults at Christ and the interpretation of an Holy Book. Yet, they are quick to take offense when people that are not of Islamic faith express their interpretation of the Quran and history. If a Muslim calls Christ a liar, why can't I as well go ahead and called Muhammad a worshiper of the Moon. Not everyone of us though, believes in killing fire with fire. Let the likes of Ahmad Deedat keep interpreting my faith as they deem it fit to their understanding, I won't even blush. However, are they also willing to stomach my interpretation and opinion of the Quran and Islam WITHOUT THREATS AND ATTACKS  Why do the likes of Ahmad Deedat even need to consult to Bible in the first place? Oh! that it's a book filled with lies? I learnt in business school that you can never win a client by soiling the good name of a competitor, but by showing all you have to offer. Ahmad and likes reference from the Bible, but let one Christian do such and Muslims will protest bitterly and even do much worse. In October, armed Muslims entered a Church in Iraq killing innocent armless people including kids. You should have seen a clip of the news coverage, the list is endless and their reason, because someone somewhere made a statement about Muhammad and the religion of Islam, yet there are people like Ahmad, which you seem to have high regards for, who continue to express what they think about Christianity. So again i ask you my dear friend: IS WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE NOT GOOD FOR THE GANDER? We all know you can't eat your cake and have it. I maintain, as I did in my first post, that I'm not here to express what i think of the content of these thread but think that the fellow who started the thread should have posted it in the Islam for Muslim board. Period!!! Let Muslims post in the Islamic for Muslims board and let Christians post in the board allocated them. Their are over 4,000 threads in the Islam for Muslim board and that should take a handful time to read, reply and follow. With the thousands of threads in both the Christians board and Islam for Muslim board, people that are not of either faith should stick to appropriate boards. What sanity lies in digging through the Islamic for Muslim board by someone like me that is a Christian if I do not already have the intent of attacking anyone expressing an opinion contrary to mine. |
