The whole world is on a lockdown especially countries with reliable and well managed health systems. From US, Canada, India, EU and many others have closed their bothers from international travelers. What is FG waiting for please! The way COVID 19 is ravaging developed world, and the kid-glove approach of our government gives one reason for concern. Currently, Nigeria is on a REACTIVE mode which should not be considering that WHO has since over a week declared a PANDEMIC. Please, we should rise beyond APC and PDP and tribal arguements and face reality. If this virus finds itway into our midst, I can only imaging.

A word is enough for the wise!!

so many places think that because US is open and free, so they should do the same...while its a grave mistake.

Which managing are you talking about? God just saved us that the Italian reported to the hospital himself. Did anyone know about it? If the man was not sick immediately on arrival, what would have happened?

India have since cancelled all visas, Canada has stopped all international travelers from entering Canada except citizens and Permanent Residents. Same is happening in US. EU have closed their borders for 45 days. Here we are talking of managing it well by allowing anyone come into the country. Our borders are as porous as basket ... anyway. God is a Nigerian!

It is not about shutting border , it's about health crises management, which Nigeria is currently doing better than Europe and America put together.

Nigeria carried out tests on people coming into the country, isolating possible carriers and isolating contacts with possible carriers . That was why Nigeria was able to nip it in the bud the index case.

Unfortunately, Europeans and Americans are not doing the same thing. ...I pity their citizens

It’s possible more people than is reported have the virus with little or no noticeable symptoms, possibly mitigated by the weather or use of over the counter medications. Nigeria’s Case May be that of under reporting

Do u know what you're saying....symptoms of coronavirus will not show until after a week of being infected.....or we have a more effective crisis management ability.
European country's test those coming into their countries but this test can't detect those with the infection except a full test is done on all.....we need to close our border... Can we be too safe?
