voltron14:Just for their citizens, not for foreigners. Canada also has cancelled all their visas for now, except for diplomatic purposes. Nigeria is not doing any. Instead they are asking you to quarantine yourself when you come from high risk countries... When you already know that some stubborn people will never do that. |

Fear Not. Flu can not really dance under intense tropical heat of sub-saharan Africa. Nigeria is at a great place on the map. 1 Like |

The truth is this, foreigners are the one making Nigeria work. If you close down Nigeria, who will power the electricity you use, who will build the road, you use, some very high tech equipments are powered by expatriates, in the oil industry, almost all equipment are powered by expatriates. The money use to run Private sector here in Nigeria is own by foreigners. Nigeria know that if they close their border, the country will be unlivable, essential things will collapse. Direct foreign investment from China, Europe and america will be affected if they close border This shows that many things in Nigeria aren't run by locals, if nigeria was truelly run by Nigerians, this country will be on lockdown. Anyway, the govt doesn't care about you, they care about money, they know that you are replaceable. |

voltron14: The federal government has done nothing so far, they are still allowing foreigners even from Italy right now into the country, telling them to quarantine themselves. Unfortunately Italy is under lock down, so their citizens can't fly over here.... But if they weren't, they would be able to fly in considering the stupidity of our leaders. |

lalasticlala: The bolded above is my problem, who ever brought the idea of self isolation for travelers returning from affected countries should be shot or Banished. Since the government have decided not to close the borders to travelers from infected countries, it should at list go through the trouble of isolating them on arrival it self for the recommended 14 day. |

Please dont discourage them but make it known that when they return it would be to an uncompleted building in Epe where gun carrying security operatives would make sure they dont leave that Quarantine spot for 21 days . |

voltron14: Other countries have the virus and can also bring it here apart from the Italians. Americans still fly into the country till now despite them preventing other countries into their country right now. This was on the front page today https://punchng.com/no-stopping-chinese-italians-others-from-visiting-nigeria-fg/. So you should know your government doesn't really care. |

Talking shit. A friend just called me with the information that one of his co-workers (an Indian) who entered the country on the 12th started showing symptoms yesterday evening and has been isolated immediately it got serious, and no one knows about this on this space. The Indian has been active at work since the last four days, it's just simple. If a solution isn't found soon, we are doomed! This is just one out of hundreds others who've been entering the country. We've not even talked about people he's been in contact with. Nigerian Government is something but nothing near good. 2 Likes |

kponkedenge: But China had the lockdown a while ago and they've opened for business. Why do you want them to be ostracized when their home nation is quite confident? By the way, I can't find any flight to Africa from the Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport today. |
