And to think it was only “yesterday” that two Chinese brought it to Italy!

The first cases of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic in Italy were confirmed on 31 January 2020, when two Chinese tourists in Rome tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019, caused by SARS-CoV-2.[3] One week later on 6 March an Italian man repatriated back to Italy from the city of Wuhan, China, was hospitalised and confirmed as the third case in Italy.

On 31 January, the Italian government suspended all flights to and from China and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said Italy was the first EU country to take this kind of precautionary measure. The government also introduced thermal scanners and temperature checks on international passengers arriving at Italian airports.

On 22 February, the repatriated Italian recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
On 22 and 26 February, the two previously infected Chinese tourists tested negative for COVID-19 at Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute in Rome.

This is seriously serious. Imagine Italy going this way, if it should spread in Nigeria, we all are gone.
