As fear rules the thought of the universe, With each human counting their breath, Hoping the next won't be their last. I walked the surface of the Earth to see what has become of it. I watched as birds sat on a roof of a factory in Wahum, listening to the sweet Melodies of their voices. In Milan , I saw a street without a homeless, For life of a beggar is now counted useful by all. The thick clouds covered by fumes in China, Now looked blue, grey and clear. I heard a son praying with smiles covering his face, For he has seen a day where his family can spend time together, He has never shared a joke with his parents who spends all day at work. I saw the telephone of an elderly smiling, Because each day now brings him the call of a son, who once waited to visit home when he hears of his death. In Italy, I saw the church, mosques and temple, Opening her gate to all to find solace, Not minding the religion we proffers. I saw my neighbor looking through the window , hoping mine will be open so she can see my face , And know if I am okay or if she could be of help. I saw the soldiers matching the streets of Rome, Just to check if there is any with needs. I saw love walking the face of Earth, And hatred starving in the minds it once fed fat. I saw pain, death and sorrow, But I also saw a world where we share in the pains of one another Where every life counts, And where we all work together for a better tomorrow.
