Covid-19: Rivers State Government Release Emergency Lines,bans Public Gatherings by Mophasa(m): 7:46pm On Mar 23, 2020
Due to the outbreak of the Corona virus in the country, the Rivers state government have banned all public gatherings including parties, burials and weddings Viewsmedia have learnt .
Also all Open religious activities have also been restricted in the state.

In a state broadcast by Governor Nyesom Wike, the state government have also shutdown all public parks, cinemas and clubs in the state as well as setting up a monitoring team comprising of health workers and security personnels to man every entry point into the state.

Although there haven't been any confirmed cases in the state, the state government is doing everything possible to protect the residents of the state.

Social distancing have also been encouraged in the state as new cases are emerging daily across the country.
