Our once filled road has turned to a deserted street,

Now Only some few privileged ones tour it surface,

A closer look shows a city in ruins,

a once lively city seems to have lost it soul



From the el Salvatore's in Milan,

To the jin hun clan in Wuhan,
Stretched far into south of America,

Into the noisy neighborhood of Lagos Nigeria.


The bravest of human was locked behind the doors,

Even at the closure of the door,we still locked in our fears,

The feeble hearted ones couldn't hide their tears,

Because right outside of our door was the cruel advertisement of death.



Open wildly was my neighbour's window,

Soon an odd discussion followed,

I can't remember us talking in month,

But here we flowed seamlessly along.




Now in the face of extinction we've found love,

Culture,colour,race was put aside,as we turned one,

For once we've truly turned to our brothers keeper,

Now even the black man could comfortably lean on the white man shoulder.




[ Though I don't know what tomorrow holds in stock,
I don't know if covid-19 will be gone quick or stay for long,
But one day this trauma will be long gone,
The trauma that threatened us with extinction but we found love
