It'll be unwise to deem any news fake at this point. Better run for cover.

They are very stupid for returning. I'm confident they will be pardoned even if they overstay. They should have stayed put until this crisis is over or get tested at the airport before boarding. The result always comes out in a few hrs. It's even 45mins now, thanks to the new Korean test kit. I've been shouting since Feb that taking temp alone is not enough. Well, e don happen.

jayloms:

Unfortunately, they have a right to return to their home country. It is the selfish act of doing so we should be angry about. You know quite well that your home country cannot manage any major health crisis, yet you boarded a flight back home knowing fully well that you could possibly be infected. I wouldn't be surprised many didn't bother to take the test before coming. I am particularly worried about the unreported cases.

Please stay where you are for now. Get tested before going to the village to avoid you transporting the virus to the Village.

How difficult is it for people to stay at home?

As at February 23rd, Italy had 5 confirmed virus cases and zero death.

The Italian government issued a stay at home order, people neglected it.

30 days later, Italy has over 60,000 confirmed cases and over 6,000 deaths.

There's always a price to pay for disobedience...Nigerians should learn from this and over simple rules.

Here in Nigeria, there are many people that don't eat anyday they don't do business, who will feed them if they stay at home?

They will be ready to die if hungry wire them.

Nigeria is in big trouble.

This is getting serious... I pray our case won’t be like that of China and Italy

Many people say this with a subtle tone of excitement, like this is all a movie production were we wait to here the director say "cut". Let's be proactive, many can't afford hand sanitizers or nose masks, as individuals who can afford to buy and distribute, let us do so right f**king now. If 70% of the population carry and use hand sanitizers and nose masks, coupled with the border closures and flight restrictions, we would be back to a normal healthy society in no time.

Corona virus have shown to be highly contagious virus.
Very effectively and easily infected others.
Even some traveled abroad for some days and they got infected.

The world have to design ways how to tackle it without shutting down.

You're trying to be smart but you're not. In a pandemic, the ultimate is saving lives. More advanced countries and democracies than Nigeria have shut down their borders, I guess your "right of return" had suddenly been taking away from such countries. Even in Nigeria too that has now eventually decided to shut the borders, has "right of return" suddenly become inexistent?

Silence would have made you seem more noble. Now your ignorance is glaring.

ROR stands. What any government anywhere will do is quarantine the returning citizen, or imprison them, if crime is involved.

Congratulations on revealing your empty head.

Who enforces such rights?

Countries take their citizens' rights to life, liberty, and movement illegally all the time
not talk of life and death situations.

Many Guantanamo inmates are there because the origin country will not take them.
Many Syrians cannot return home because the government has banned them.

You lose your ROR if you renounce your citizenship.

You didn't affirm it either. Which means your over sabi blocked one side of your brain too.

You could have said "while quarantining returnees is possible, blocking them from coming in is impossible due to....."

That's the better way to have put it
