Kwara State Stadium Shuts Down Over Coronavirus Fears by Giditrendz: 7:00pm On Mar 24, 2020
The Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin has been shut down temporarily in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

According to the statement made available to this medium through the management of Kwara State stadium, all facilities would be closed to all sporting activities including weddings and religious programmes.
In his statement: The State Director of Sports, Coach Tunde Kazeem said the decision was taken as a precautionary step to prevent the gathering of people and in essence stop the spread of Coronavirus.
He then advised the people of Kwara State to abide by the safety procedures highlighted by the State and the Federal Governments for the Nation to get over Coronavirus.
