The Minister of State, Niger Delta Affairs has called on Nigerians to collectively ask for forgiveness.

Festus Keyamo took to his twitter page to react to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Also, in his tweet, he revealed that we have distorted God’s word to suit human weakness and satisfy our greed.

Furthermore, he called out recalcitrant pastors and asked us to work and pray.

Sharap, this is not Gods work.
We blame Devil over everything, now we are blaming God.
God (both Allah and Jehovah) did not convince us enough to believe he exist.

He let us guide our lives through a book (Quran and Bible) Some of us has problem with religious dogma.

People called prophets, Imam, pastors came and told us God exist and its all because of him things happen, there is no coincidence, we believed in them only to later find out some are ritualists, rapists, pastopreneurs etc.
We were not born in the days of Noah, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed etc, we came and saw stories and we believed it, we believe in them not because its 100% clear they exist but because of Faith, we are Christians cos we choosed to, we are Muslims cos we choosed to. Before the whites came, God never revealed himself to most part of Africa, they came and told us stories and we dropped what we believed in
We started having doubts in what the so called men of God preach to us cos most of them are fake and now he is punishing us for having doubts?
The ways of God though different from man but covid19 is not a punishment from God rather its human carelessness.
We should not point fingers at God, he is merciful

Religion, as practiced today, deals in PUNISHMENTS and REWARDS.
In other words, it breeds FEAR and GREED: the two things most destructive of SPIRITUALITY .
