If by tomorrow I breath no more, Please, don't call me a coward. Tell my children how great a hero I was And how I fought life and survived. Tell the stories of how I survived death When Earth named me a child of 'still birth'. Tell my children the story of how I challenged life to a fight, And took from it the silver spoon it took from me before I was born And how I handed it over to them- my children. Tell the world the story of a child Who tasted victory even when he was named defeat at birth. Tell my children that the Iroko tree they became its branch, Was just a seed that grew in a desert. Tell my children how I survived ebola, Coronavirus and death buried in unprotected sex in the days of my stupidity. Tell my children that I am an epitome of survival, And my name should be inked in the pages of their heart. Tell the world that I lived and survived, And my name deserves a place in the history books of the greats. Ohuche, Joseph ogbonna. 1 Like |
