The State Water Corporations should be privatized as soon as possible. Foreign investors should be invited to Nigeria to bid for the State Water Corporations in Nigeria. We should allow Foreign Companies to buy and manage water production and distribution in Nigerian, and make them retrain the workers and skill them up to international standards. Nigerian workers at all the State Water Corporations need a change of orientation. This will not be possible if State Water Corporations are not privatized. Once Foreign Water Companies come in, they will bring great expertise and innovation and modern equipment into the country. We have done it with Mobile Telecommunications and Cable TV, we can privatize water distribution in Nigeria too. It can be done. Governments all over the world are not very good managers of Water, Light, Gas, Electricity etc. Cheers.
